That front weld is really in a lot of corners, that fabrication looks great.
Awesome series! I have the same bug and my next task is to replace the heater channels.
Bringing Frankenstein back to life one patch at a time. Enjoying the content. Looking forward to the next one.

Your "Bolt box" in the Nap hat is shot too! Hard to repair, I bought mine... Your Nap Hat is shot, I answered my own question from the first video. Good luck! You gotta lot of cutting, fabricating, and measuring ahead...BTW I'm guessing that's a 1971?
I believe the “Napoleon Hat” is the front part of the pan on regular (not Super) Beetles. The part where the front beam bolts into. You are referring to the “fire wall” which isn’t really on a rear engined car 😉
Yes it’s a 71 , it was supposed to be only a donor car for repairs I did to Sunny the Super beetle. But after I finished Sunny; I decided to fix it it , honestly with no intention to keep it; but I am already getting attached to it 😂. Thank you for your comments.
Pretty crusty; you got your work cut out for you 😉. I have to say it again; love the yellow color in that car, is it the same color as Sunny?
Yes it’s the factory color. Is called shantunggelb L12 D
