All these Ethanol songs of stabilizers and Additives are stories. It slows down corrosion but doesn't stop it.
Further even E20 compliant cars today are not E20 Tuned(which will happen in 2025).
All in all, Govt is beating the crap out of Indian consumers for the political lobby.
Intelligent govt would ensure E10 availability along with E20, but this government is not giving any info.
Billions of dollars given to govt in Car and other vehicle taxes are getting used to screw customers.
I am all for reducing oil dependency on Middle East..We absolutely must do that but intelligently, with planning.
Josh without Hosh destroys, but Josh with Hosh is great creative force!

One more point to keep in mind is that the energy content or calorific value of ethanol is much lower than petrol. What this means is that more E20 fuel has to be burnt compared to E0 fuel to maintain the same output. In layman's terms "lower mileage".

  • @LovenishSachdeva
    @LovenishSachdeva Год назад +2

Firstly, if you are saying there is 80 20 proportion of petrol to ethanol then that needs to reiterated. Ethanol is so much hydrophilic that pure ethanol cannot be synthesized (always comes as 99.9% m/m). So it is 80:19.9:0.1
Further, if the 'stablizers' are that effective then what is the reason that blending is done just before the fuel is to be transferred to pumps. Why is it not blended and stored at refineries? The simple reason is fear of phase separation. Once that happens water would start to settle down as water is much denser then oil and start the corrosion of big reservoirs base (which is a costly affair). Also, post separation the reblending is a challenge. Further, the truck tankers used to transfer are filled to the brim to minimise the chances of water absorption by ethanol. So, a practical solution would be to use fuel stabilizers and get tank topped up or very low (to minimise absorption) if your vehicle is going to sit ideal for weeks, buy petrol from pumps that rotate good volumes, try to run the vehicle daily and when getting the vehicle serviced - asking for inspection of fuel tank for any sign of debris, metal coatings. Also, to add the reason for better combustion by blending ethanol is not organic additives but rather the octane number of ethanol itself. Octance specifies the ability of fuel to withstand compression before it self ignites. Blending ethanol with petrol elevates the octane rating of the fuel. So, that is why it is much better for efficient combustion. As the piston compresses air fuel mixture, you would want the mixture to withstand the full piston compression, so that efficient blue flame combustion happens and maximum push to piston is transferred. This might lead to a rationale that higher octane rating fuel would require more piston travel to combust. So, we might require new setups altogether as we increase blending ratio. Thanks for bringing out a video on the topic.

Aisa ho hi nahi sakta ki E20 fuel aapki car main agar 2/3/5/7 din tak stagnant padha rahe and oil and water separation ki wajah se parts pe affect na ho. I think the logical move would be that E10 and E20 co-exist at every petrol pump for some time. How to push buyers towards buying E20 compliant cars? Sell E20 fuel at a lesser price than E10, hence, hike E10 fuel prices even more.

Cars manufactured after 2011 are mostly e10 compatible. e10 compatible does not mean the engine will run as smooth as 100 percent petrol.
All modern mpfi, gdi cars runs using sensors (map, maf, crank, cam position, air intake temperature, rpm, throttle position etc) which is sent to ECM to decide ignition timing, injector open duration etc.
Most petrol engine are designed to run around AFR of 14.7 for petrol. The AFR for E20 fuel is around 13.3 which is lower than pure petrol ideal AFR for best combustion and mileage.
For engine to run smooth on E10, E12 or E20, car manufacturers should release new ECM maps.
I think Maruti Suzuki has already started updating ECM of old cars to be compatible with E12. In future, they might release ECM firmware updates for E20 fuel.
Apart from the software issue which causes low mileage and engine knock, there are other issues with material compatibility which is widely discussed on youtube videos

Bhai Munish ji kitni bakwas karte hain kaam ki Baat karne se Pehle. 8 minute tak bas kahani batate rahenge "itni anokhi Baat Hai, aise sources hain waise sources hain, lehsun adrak, mere Ye contacts wo contacts, Ye Website woh website, falana damaka" uske Baad 1 kaam ki baat batayenge, main to unki knowledge ki respect karta hun par unhe abhi deliver karna seekhna hoga. Obviously RUclips ka experience kam hai isiliye aisa ho. Par same information bina suspense aur badayi kare, 8 minute mein complete kar sakte hain, paka dete hain point bolne se Pehle.
    Massive respect though.

If anything is told wrong then please tell, otherwise any kind of information is grabbed from some kind of sources only. Thankfully this video has 97% like rate too so I value the majority audience.
