Actually, cause that's literally my whole experience as an artist. This has become my favorite song of theirs because of the stupid shoe song bit-- and I think that's beautiful.
Anyone else feel like this part of the song (esp the first couple seconds after "you'll make this rather snappy won't you") sounds kinda like Terraria music?
I try hard to write a cool song So I start with something simple Like trying to put my shoes on Now something kinda clicked Cause you relate a bit But no one’s gonna care about a shoe song I try hard to write a cool song But I gotta make it matter so maybe I’ll throw the news on Could I relate the shoes To 2022 Or maybe an election down in Tucson I try throwing something cool on So I’m listening to Kendrick And playing the Swimming Pool song Oh why did I do that Cause now I hate my track I’m quite aware I’ll never write a cool song But who really needs a cool song? There’s so many better melodies, Why do you need a new one? So stop writing a song About writing a song You’re losing their attention Buddy move on
Does any user viewing this think this is the worst part of the song? It's out-of-place and doesn't sound good in the slightest... Wait, was that why RUclips recommended it to me? DO THEY KNOW!?
This section is like 75% of the reason I listen to this song, so here's my perspective. As a chump who makes music myself, I relate so much to the thought process this part of the song describes. I agree that it's out of place where it is, I would've preferred it was its own song. (Also so that it would be longer.) I love the stylings of Neotheater, and this is probably the most Neotheater-esque portion on this album. Obviously we disagree regarding its quality, but that's neither good nor bad, just different.
If you would prefer the opposite, here's Steve's Going to London without this part.

✨ahhh ahhh ha✨ ✨ahhh ahhh ha✨
You’ll make it rather snappy, won’t you?
aw, i thought this was literally gonna be a fanmade shoe song
That was my initial plan when I made this, but I realized I'm less talented than I thought, and writing songs is hard.
I guess he tried to, but he played the swimming pool song
@@BallinBCjust start with something like trying to put your shoes on
@@AndrewlolI would relate a bit
@@Sup_8 To be honest I think something kinda clicked
I love how before the “What the hell?!” It’s “Steves going to london” Making sure it’s all gone
This part of the song is my fav for sure! Its really catchy and I will always love it!
I think this might be my favourite bit AJR has ever made
Actually, cause that's literally my whole experience as an artist. This has become my favorite song of theirs because of the stupid shoe song bit-- and I think that's beautiful.
I love the filter used in this part, they use it sometimes, where it sounds like clones of him singing the same exact melody
i love this! thank you so much, this is one of my favorite parts of this song!
I think it would have been so funny if they had said sock song instead of shoe song as a throw back to the sock song
RJA better have a skit about this segment on tour, if they don't I'll be sad at the missed opportunity
RJA???
@@-ADOI- You know Ryan on the left, Jack in the middle, Adam on the right they're named after the position they play on stage
RJA
Bro its according to their POV, like adam on left, jack in middle and ryan on left, you are facing the stage so its reverse
I‘m bummed out because I haven’t been able to find my stylus for actual months now but for some reason this makes me feel better
he should get the cool shoe shine for his cool shoes
but no one’s gonna care about a shoe song
i try hard to write a cool song
but I gotta make it matter so I throw the news on
Could I relate the shoes to 2022?
or maybe an election down in tucson
lol thx @tristansahm2315
My fav part of the song for sure
Anyone else feel like this part of the song (esp the first couple seconds after "you'll make this rather snappy won't you") sounds kinda like Terraria music?
Fun fact: the melody is similar to the one in the verses of record player!
Omg thank you so much more that! I love these songs!
This is the best part of the song bro...(Also the "What he Hell?" sared me for some reason-)
WHAT THE HELL??
Lol, this was like the only part I really liked in the song so cheers for isolating it!
I also like this part but the song altogether is my favorite 😁
its like 2 songs in 1, but to be honest its 2 really good songs
I like all of the song, but this was my favorite part
I hear All Time Low in there tbh
Can someone tell me how people could hate this
this sounds so much like the click
no it don’t

About writing a song
You’re losing their attention
Buddy move on
Could I relate to shoes??? 😂😂😂
LOL!
you have to wear socks to wear shoes and we lose socks all the time
but thats just a theory, a style theory
roblox oof?
Could you do the opposite? Remove this from the original song
Sure. Steve's gonna go to London and he'll leave his shoes at home.
But this is the best part
No it isn't
