Good video, great 'how to' documenary for those wanting to build their own track. The one making this video must be quite proffesional, the way of setting up this as a documentary, having the guys telling the story, would not think this is the work of a average joe with a camera
LOVE CLOVERLEAF !!! Awesome videos and OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE !!! Ordered the wrong part by mistake and Mike called me on a Saturday to correct my order and refund me $5 on shipping !!!!! WHAT CAN I SAY ??? - AMAZON EAT YOUR HEART OUT !!! CLOVERLEAF GUYS ROOOOCCCKK !!!! 6* STARS ALL AROUND & MVP AWARD !!! (not to mention the easy check out on the on-line cart !!) LOVE YOU GUYS !!!
The track is made out of 1/2 MDF. the slot is 1/8 set to about 3/8 deep. The bit Tha is used for the braid is a 3/4 router bit that has a special 1/8 pin installed so it will stay in the stay in the slot. the depth is About .030 deep, it all depends on what you use for braid and adhesive. The braid Is from Slot car corner. it is 1/4 wide. the paint is Sherwin Williams latex enamel.
Whole lot easier way better track that plastic track you had I guess it it was OK to start out with, but it’s really not OK. Love what you guys are doing, man keep it up.😊
The tight bends we used 1/4 and layered it. Use plenty of spring clamps to hold it together until the glue dries. Most of the bends we actually used the same material we used everywhere else. 1/2 MDF is quite bendable.
BUTCH Ratell the material is the same as the track surface, it is 1/2 MDF also. I put a Dado in it so I could make it fit in the track surface and make it stronger.
Nice layout, good work. Since youve been so kind to share your build and steps, I have a few important questions please.: MDF 3/4 inch? What size router bit did you use for the slot? What depth did you cut? What size Router bit did you use for the braid's recess? And what depth did you cut for that? How many inches between each slot? Center to center? What roll of braid did you use? Brand? Size? Lastly what kind of surface did you apply? I think were going to build our own too. All the tracks closed here. Our kids need this. All the best to you and yours. Ab
You guys should be proud of your efforts.
The world needs more slot car tracks.

Abbey stjohn dude read the comment above yours...
The thickness is 1/2 inch, router bit for the guide is an 1/8 and the bit for the braid is 3/4.
Do you have a picture of this? How can you use a 1/2" bit with a 1/8" at the same time? Thank you!
@@enigmaaudio4 You cut the slot first, then go over it with the 3/4' bit using the slot as a guide, to fly-cut the braid groove to your desired depth.
I got it from Slot car corner.
kool , like it a lot...thanx
...jus Superkool
Fantastic!
we get it from Slot Car Corner.
