Raiding bases online on ARK survival evolved, I always feel quite guilty even though it’s a part of the game. It’s a time sink of a game so blowing into bases and stealing loot, you’re not only ruining someone’s day you’re kind of erasing all their time spent farming for stuff. But i can’t feel too bad because it’s definitely a what goes around comes around type game.

I am a tiny bit worried because I have also been playing Horizon FW with my 6yo daughter watching me, and my daughter has been shouting "shoot that fox, Daddy!". I was the one being the angel on the shoulder saying "really, you want me to shoot that beautiful fox?". "But we need to collect the stuff from it, it might have a purple one". 😂😫

The one time I've felt guilty playing a Game.
My first time playing This War of Mine, one of my characters Pavel accidentally ran into an inhabitant of a house he was looting and got shot, the next night I sent one of my other characters back to the house with a knife and slaughtered everyone there, avenging Pavel as if they were Darth Vader in Hallway, as I entered the last room I found an old woman begging for her medication that she was unable to take herself, and realized that I'd become a monster.
One of those moments were emergent gameplay led to a proper harrowing moment that made me realize something about myself, and a perfect example of how gaming can hit you harder than a film or book.

I am just like Rob. I don't really feel guilty with my games, just sad. The times I cry the most is when something happens to an animal (thinking of that specific scene in Ghost of Tsushima) and feel totally fine when bad things happen to the human characters. Like, I felt no guilt killing everyone in Until Dawn for trophies or, for that matter, killing Connor in Detroit: Become Human (even though he is my favourite character)!!!

A bit cliché, maybe, but the most guilty I remember feeling in a game was my 1st Chrono Trigger playthrough. Literally being found 'guilty' for choices I made but never thought about in the early game and made me think for the 1st time about how I acted differently in-game. Like of course if someone faceplants into to pavement in front of me I'd tend to them before picking up their jewelry, but not in CT I didn't.

Don't normally feel guilty doing bad stuff in games. The closest thing that comes to mind is being unable to save Fyra in Nier Replicant. It happens during a cutscene so I couldn't do anything about it, but if it was gameplay, she'd be alive and happy. I got the plat for Nier Replicant and it pretty much needs you to k!ll innocents, friends, parental figures, or watch them sacrifice themselves for you. Multiple times. There's also the Sheep Whisperer trophy. And I was absolutely fine doing all of that.

The first time i played Hitman in 2018, shooting all those npcs on the boat mission and hearing them scream and beg for their life, not only did I feel guilty but I was traumatized

I actually got the good ending for hank and Connor on the first try, blind, but had to go back and get all the other endings for the platinum. I did feel bad about that. 😅

I'm reminded of the Jerusalem level in Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, where I abruptly shot a friendly, unsuspecting, allied agent because the voice in my ear told me to. It was just sort of a, "Is that really the kind of person I am?" moment.

I felt guilty using the invincibility exploit to defeat the boss rush dlc for Hollow knight, knowing that my friend did it completely legit.

The most guilty I've felt in a video game is killing Sif in Dark Souls remastered he was just trying to defend the grave of his master Artorias.

I feel like Ash shouldn’t feel so guilty about hers as given the opportunity, that pig would have happily eaten her.

When I buy a game I finish it, except for Shadow of the Colossus, I got to about the 6th one and I realized that I'm just murdering these innocent beings and I stopped, In my game the remaining colossus live

Play it straight though, killing Scribe Haylen in Fallout 4 and Paarthurnax in Skyrim.

One thing that made me feel guilty is the genocide run on chapter 2 of Deltarune. The genocide run in Undertale wasn't too upsetting, since the protagonists are blank slates with no previously established personality. Deltarune's genocide run on the other hand has you corrupt someone who is already shown to be a really nice character, in a manner that is disturbingly similar to an abusive relationship.

As a kid, I determinedly focused on building an army of German Shepherds in Red Alert. The sound of their painful whines as they were slaughtered still haunts me.

My guiltiest moment is when I first tricked Robert Knox into killing Sierra Knox in the Miami level of Hitman 2.
