Let it idle for a bit before you go tearing it up. 4 strokes can sit and idle for a fairly long period of time, the only problem you run into is overheating when the idle for too long. Pull the cold start lever out and let it idle with it on for a few seconds.
The "cold start" Is called a choke, and if you have it fully pulled out (unless it's broken) it should stay out and it takes no time at all for it to warm up with the choke pulled out, which it's probably already warmed up having it's in the middle of a field

This procedure takes 5 minutes but after that She's good for the day. 2006 rmz 250 with 100 plus hrs on it with no rebuilds right here brother. I am pretty old though, can definitely Fly like the wind all day under 10000 rpm though. Nice bike man!

@@mx55555 even if the engine is cold, it doesn't have to do that when you press harder on the gas. I had the same yz model with the same symptom. the solution was to adjust the valves.

so when its bogging when your giving throttle that means it needs to warm up not rev the shit out of it
