No kidding. To automatically Unlock doors when you put the car in Park, is not safe at all. I know that used to be the case with older vehicles with the steering wheel column gear shifter. Placing in P would unlock, whereas placing in R,D,2,1 would lock. 2024 Tucson: What I find stupid, is that I or my passenger can override the locked doors, even after I've manually locked them. So I could be driving around and my passenger could just fling their door open, even though I've manually locked the doors..... What a stupid design
At the time I don’t remember a way to do it … but I can’t be sure, I don’t have one in stock at the moment, but if I did I would just have a quick look through the manual to see if there’s any mention of an auto lock function, you should find it in the manual under door locks, if the car has its owners manual, have a quick look and see if you can see anything!

Does the Hyundai (Bayon) have an option that only opens the driver's door when unlocked with the remote/keyless entry? My current Nissan Micra has it (one push on the door handle switch opens the driver's door; two pushes on the driver's seat door handle opens all doors) and I don't feel quite safe if all doors would always open together.
Ok good point .. it does not appear to be an option on Bayon in ireland unfortunately . I stand to be corrected but I can’t find any setting to allow this!
Hello. So every time I unlock my car from the app it re locks again I want the car to be accessible to my family members. When I request unlock from the app. It unlocks and then after 1 min. Before it wouldn’t do that. Maybe they did an update. I need help plz
Ok if you unlock the car but don’t open the doors with about 1 minute it re locks , but if someone opens a door in that first minute , it won’t re lock .. is that what happens ?
2024 Tucson Hybrid. Can someone explain why I and my front passenger are able to open our doors, while driving, even though I've locked the doors with the lock button? This makes absolutely no sense to me and seems incredibly unsafe. Also, I've gone into the 'Auto Lock' in the menu and set to Lock while at Speed. And yet I can still open the doors while moving. Maybe I need to go faster. We just got the suv and are puttering around trying things out. Can I manually unlock the fuel door with the fob? I'm not keen on anyone walking by, being able to open it.
Okay, locking mechanism is to stop people entering the vehicle from the outside, but as an internal passenger you will always override this by pulling the door handle, it’s more for theft and safety. The only way to lock the doors from the inside is to engage the child locks, but that’s only for the rear doors Does all of this make sense?
@@doolanbrian Makes sense, yes. I'm just not used to having a vehicle that you can still override the locked doors by using the handle. But - could you use the key fob to unlock it? I'm thinking in terms of ensuring the fuel door remains locked to any would be jerk that decides to walk by and pour sugar into the gas tank lol.
