The editing on this is entirely too clean, he had to remove every frame that Envy and Riza were in, then cut and map every frame of Squidward and Spongebob onto the edited frames, then recompose it all. Amazing job.

The anime was made before the manga ended, but they received an outline from the manga's author, so it wasn't utterly made up completely, which is why there are still some broad similarities between both stories. 2003 is better, the terrible sequel film not withstanding.

Loved this fight in the anime, I wish they had a clip of the full fight. It was the first to show us that even though Squidward is basically immortal, he can still feel pain. Also that when he takes enough damage he can transform into his Handsome Squidward form.
