This tourney is annual. It is not the Olympics and its viewers mainly watch their fav teams prospects. Its overblown so much. For them not to invite the hosting citys first round prospect, is absolutely infuriating and disrespectful. Wont watch any games this yr and i cant believe that there isnt more outrage. If this happened in ANY other canadian market it would be pandemonium. But it got glossed over so quickly. What joke.
The city of Ottawa and the Senators benefit much more from the tournament than does Hockey Canada. I think they made a very stupid decision, but it would have been a different kind of stupid to bring a player you wouldn't choose otherwise just because he was drafted by the host city.
@MattSSPUstudent should have been invited at least. And if this was really the case they could have reached out to him to tell him to work on things. Even Staios was lead to believe he was going to make it. Like I said, would they do this to any other market?
You could have made a 2nd team canada and still been competitive. Iginla Lindstrom Sennecke Wood Misa Barlow McQueen Roobroeck Rehkopf Heidt Sawchyn Extra Boisvert,He. Parahk Yakemchuk Dragicevic Elick Mews Danford TarinSmith/JacksonSmith Ratzlaff+Bjarnason Not to mention Benson,Celabrini,Bedard eligible. But Canada should not be finishing without a medal 5th/6th places like last year and 2019.
I remember when they showed a picture of charas fist up against this guys head and it was almost as wide as the guys face and the time he had Vinny Lecavaliers head pounded into the ice he was even more tougher than Neil just the socks alone on the guy you could see how much taller he was I was there cleaning the corel center when n.j scored with 2 :17 seconds left to go to the Stanley cup
What, if any, justifications is Team Canada required to provide to the public? That’s what I wonder. These are kids we’re talking about. Any discussion whatsoever about any of these players should be made public. That’s how it works in the schooling systems & the corporate world. But no, HC still seems to be able to make decisions behind a curtain of secrecy. If so, that is ridiculous.
Canada’s PP didn’t look great against Finland. If that continues and Special teams cost them in the tourney, the absence of Parekh and The Yak Attack will blow back hard.
Scott said 98% of the talking but Ross makes the best quote about “you miss me?”
Funny that i got a push notification for this about 2 seconds after Canada’s first PP expired without a goal scored🤔

@@MattSSPUstudentIf he didn't deserve to be there, yeah? But at least give the kid a shot in his last year of eligibility.

Embarrassment of riches. Gold or bust
Agreed. Maybe Evan Gardner in the crease.

"How's it feel losing to Latvia? You miss me?"
Yakemchuk is a wonderful offensive prospect that can't play 5x5 d yet. He will figure that out, but not before the tournament.
Boycotting the world juniors this year. I'm still baffled by Hockey Canada.
Gross call by Team Canada management.
Canada management decision making is broken…see results
If you’re not first you’re last… this team is hard to watch.. hope yak lights it up with the sens.

Makes Zero sense to leave Carter home.😡😡😡
I have not found molendyk to be very good thus far. He has coughed up the puck multiple times in from of our net
The only thing Yak did wrong was play I the WHL. If he was in the O or the Q, he'd be starting pairing.
I am watching the game now Oliver bonk looks horrible, he is a legacy player plus the hunter brothers r influential!!
