If you are looking for a venue for your first gig in Bulgaria, the first place that comes to my mind is the International Jazz Festival in Bansko (see more at banskojazzfest.com/en/). Bansko is a very nice ski-resort town, the jazz festival usually attracts big audiences which listen free of charge at the central square (costs are covered by sponsors), the festival takes place normally between 5-12 August. Then you can also attend the Apollonia Festival of Arts (see more at www.apollonia.bg/apollonia-2017---program-en.html) in the nice Black Sea town of Sozopol, the event takes place usually during the last week of August and first week of September. If you prefer more mainstream choices, you should come to Sofia or Plovdiv. These are the biggest two cities in Bulgaria, as you should know Sofia is the capital of the country, both cities have strong cultural heritage and dedicated music fans that would appreciate your artistic excellence; also both cities have their own jazz festivals, although not so popular as Bansko Jazz Fest. Finally, if you are willing to take some risk, please come anytime to my hometown of Burgas. It’s not so big, people who love music are not in such big numbers as in Sofia or Plovdiv, but Burgas is the most dynamic city in Bulgaria and authorities are eager to catch up with music events and are very open minded to new cultural events. Burgas also has its jazz fest, although a new one - www.burgas.bg/en/events/view/1476. I’m big fan of your music and can’t wait to see you in Bulgaria. By the way, if you are looking for new Balkan rooted inspiration for your music, you should definitely check out the album of Slavi Trifonov “Македония” (Macedonia). It’s on iTunes and it includes covers of very moving Bulgarian folk songs. Even if most of the songs are slow and mid-tempo and your music is predominantly uptempo, you could find amazing Bulgarian songs in there that you can twist and make your own.
Ну что вы, не слышали про Республику Северная Македония? Кстати македонцы очень чувствительны на теме языка и истории. Это я как болгар вам говорю. "Македонско девойче" - песня котороя поют и в Болгарии и узнают все не только в югозападной части. То же самое в Сербии, Босни и Хорватии. Сандра спела на отлично, оркестр тоже не подвел.
