Awesome video. Lots of quality parts. I'm glad you went with a motion steering column. Can't wait to see the power plant. Keep us updated and good luck with everything.

Looking forward to seeing it rip down the strip! I love the color too. Should look good once it's done and cleaned up.

Thanks brother! I hope it’s a solid 10 footer. I’ll deal with that if it’s 1000 pounds lighter than the TBSS lol

@@CoastalRacecraft Have been following You'All since Your first Sick Week participation with the CTS-V.
Thus, have seen the TBSS development, performance, results that You posted too.
Certainly this GM F-body/frame Firehawk/Gen 4 Firebird vehicle looks to be a much better racing car, performer; the color is among my favorites too; most blue colors are grand !
You mentioned this purchased, modified chassis, frame has a "Chromoly 8.5 'cert' cage" and partially showed it, at least the interior portion, but not all of it either.
a Few questions about the cage:
      A. does this cage have an actual NHRA/SFI certification sticker, level and date ?
      B. The general 8.5 - 10 point cages were from NHRA 2010 rules - which have changed, improved since
      C. there are clearly many safety levels lacking in this vehicle:
      1. this cage lacks a driver 'funny car' hoop [even if valid currently lacks proper safety level]
      2. cage lacks any gussets
      3. cage lacks common "X" side bars
      4. seat lacks proper containment, especially side, neck and head - also for neck and head restraints
      5. proper 5 point safety belts are not seen
      6. rear bar attachment to frame not seen
      7. sub frame connectors, under vehicle connecting front and rear not seen
      D. Kyle [boosted lifestyle] had purchased his Foxbody Mustang with a claimed 8.5 - 10 point cage which had not been certified -> then taking the vehicle for certification, the inspector saw many issues, that lacked meeting the requirements including many welds - Kyle fixed, improved everything with extensive effort, works, additional supplies - nearly as building the cage completely [see his posted videos for details]
      E. there are a wide range of people, individuals which participate in these Drag & Drive Events
      1. some have proper basic, information, knowledge, experience, expertise, care, concern
      2. many are more among the "enthusiast" to novice level without many proper basics
      3. many are in-between
      4. safety among those with higher level knowledge, experience, expertise is praised; safety among the vast majority is limited, often insufficient
      5. encourage everyone to seriously regard their safety as among the highest; above their performance goals; always have higher level safety than performance goals.
      6. Since You have participated in Sick Week and other events then You have seen some significant, serious crashes
      a. Ayden Bailey, double barrel roll, Day 5, SW 2022, Bradenton MP, 1957 Wagon at the end of the 1/4 mile pass, nighttime, 8.2 sec ET ~ 162 MPH, with full interior cage with full driver's 'funny car' loop + much more including fire safety [as father Tom with his Camaro 2.0 fires]; no known injuries.
      b. Sick 2023, Nivalc57 channel, 'Dad', late 1950's Volvo, Vortec 4200, crash [major engine failure, piston rod, block breakage, oil spill, vehicle veered left across track, collided with left wall, jumped wall, flipped several times, with fire - B.H. lives with mostly recovered, working, building, significant bodily injuries, though not considered serious though included brain injuries among other physical [see their posted video for details]; vehicle performance in the range Your are attempting with this Firehawk/Firebird Gen 4, GM F-body/frame.
      c. Tess Woods, Miss Midnight Maverick, SCTN LV, Nov 2021, just after 1/4 mile prepared portion of track, ~@150 MPH, vehicle veered right, hit right wall, veered left across the track, hit left wall [~45 deg angle], ricocheted, across to the right side, hit right wall [~45 deg angle], bounced off, then stopped [see her videos from inside, outside and detailed self descriptions]; full cage including full driver's 'funny car' loop, extensive cage structure; only minor left wrist fracture (Tess explained her assessment, basis); also important are her assessment, evaluation, self-commitments to improve each of the safety items including interior cage (she notes thrown to the right - and seen), fire, automated parachute deployment [E-Chute] (she had, but not yet installed then), etc. all for her next Maverick.
      d. Turbo John, crash on left wall, about mid track, 1/8 mile, mostly left rear, hit, bounced, ricochet to the middle, stopped; cage had "X" side bars, partial driver loop, sustained injuries to his chest; cage seemed to be sufficient; seemingly straps, harness, seat are not.
      e. Nate [Dr. TuneEmAll], GM A-body/frame, 1968/9 Chevelle crash, injuries; though not seemingly serious
      f. many others too.
Certainly these GM Gen 4 F-body/frame vehicle can be developed to achieve many excellent level performance; At least as Gen 1, 2, 3; note Kevin Smith, KSR, 1978 Camaro, 5.3 L, LS, Gen 3, TT, low-mid 7 sec range 1/4 mile, 190+ MPH! Note his safety too.
All The Best and Much Success in Your Quest(s), Health, Happiness and Well Being, Sincerely
