Playing For Change (PFC) is a movement created to inspire and connect the world through music, born from the shared belief that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people. The primary focus of PFC is to record and film musicians performing in their natural environments and combine their talents and cultural power in innovative videos called Songs Around The World. Creating these videos motivated PFC to form the Playing For Change Band-a tangible, traveling representation of its mission, featuring musicians met along their journey; and establish the Playing For Change Foundation-a separate 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to building music and art schools for children around the world. Through these efforts, Playing For Change aims to create hope and inspiration for the future of our planet.

This is freaking incredible. I went to film school and have done a lot with musicians- so I am aware getting the audio for this to all work out so perfectly is a huge task. Love the production and all that the musicians brought to the table!

Nothing can beat a well playing traditional jazz orchestra. I wished I could see the entire video of this tune played by the new Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
I love this guy. Raw music. He puts a smile on my face without fail. We should cherish people like this cos he's a generation that won't be replaced. He's also that nice he shared his sunglasses with someone.

Just buried a dear friend, and on the procession from the grave to the reception the band busted out with this song. It's always been one of my favorites and now it has an extra special place in my heart. Belting out the words with the trumpet and clarinet was the best send off you could ask for.

Love this man. A picture of Grandpa Elliot and my son walking down the street together dropped into my FB feed today. Such an incredible spirit. We also had the privilege of front row seats to Preservation Hall and volunteered at a lower 9th ward church while there. There is nothing like New Orleans.

We discovered Playing For Change 6 years ago, when my GD was a baby. Grandpa Elliott has brought us so much beautiful music. We will continue to enjoy his music & remember how special he was. My favorite song he does is Down By The Riverside. 💜💙💚❤
I was in Kids from Wisconsin in 1975. I lost my copy of this recording long ago. To find it online and hear it after all these decades was nothing short of stunning. I was 17 then, and I am 65 now. Thank you for sharing it.
