Thanks! You can think of it as actually making it easier for yourself in the end. I mean that once you found a theme/short melody that you like you can elaborate on it in a few different ways and you can get track out of one idea.
This popped up for me randomly and I'm really happy it did! Love to find these little gems, I enjoyed it a lot as I'm a big fan of this kind of sound/orchestration. If you don't mind me asking, how is your workflow normally when making a track like this? When you open a blank project, do you make the entire track as a piano/string sketch, or do you write each line at a time and making up ideas as you go? I often struggle finishing tracks, so always looking for inspiration or tips from other composers!
Thank you! For tracks like this I usually have the core main melody and chords figured out in the beginning so then it's much easier to develop and orchestrate the idea. I also pay special attention to the voicing of the chords and how they move, that's always useful to figure out as soon as possible before my ears get numb haha. As for the more mellow second part I came up with it after I was done with the first main melody part. Usually on a new day and a fresh listen I'll get ideas for how to continue a track.
Beautiful, love the cadence. The sus at 193 is so understated and warm. The mix is perfect too. I don't mean to compare but I felt some strong James Horner-esque vibes with this. I mean that as praise.
Thanks! The mix is mostly the instruments out of the box with some low cuts on unnecessary low rumbles. But there is some Gullfoss(from SoundTheory) on the master just to tame and balance a bit.
I would LOVE to analyse your modulation/dynamics curve and find out how you get such an emotional feel to your compositions!
Thanks! I just made the dynamic curves visible in my latest upload.
The brass does something to my soul every single time. Well done 🤝
Thank you rest, really glad to hear that!
I enjoy your use of themes throughout each of your pieces. I feel like I've always struggled with that part of composing a bit.

Thank you very much!
What app is this, I need this for my music😅Awesome music btw!
Thanks! This is Logic Pro X, but the instruments used here don't come with it and can be used in many DAW programs.
can you recommend some tutorial about orchestral?
Recently I've been watching some from Anne-Kathrin Dern she has some really good videos about orchestration
Mattia Chiappa and Zach Heyde are great too
@@marcozannone thank u so much
it sounds kind of generic, don't you think. Not inherently a bad thing, it just doesnt stand out.
I see, do you have any suggestions on how I could make it stand out? Is it the melody or the instrumentation that doesn't tickle you?
