Just for clarification: when Minuit et Demi was launched it supposed to be a limited edition and there wasn't any option of sampling it so if someone wanted to have this fragrance in their collection, had to buy it blindly. FDB fooled their customers and relaunched it after a while and now it's widely available.

Excellent review! In regards to Demi, people can be so jelaous sometimes, it's sad. Good job on keeping the video objective (as much as a fragrance review can be) and focusing on the actuall smell rather than the person connected to them. As I said before, a breath of fresh air in the fragrance community 💪😎

Tu as tellement raison de dire que chacun est responsable de son argent… et que nous ne devons nous en prendre qu’à nous-mêmes après avoir acheté un produit qui ne nous plaît pas. Et puis le parfum, c’est tellement personnel : ce qui va être divin pour A va paraître horrible pour B, et inversement, donc jamais de blind buy pour ma part, c’est trop dangereux. En revanche, je fais une consommation importante d’échantillons, mais c’est beaucoup plus raisonnable à mon sens, et surtout ultra pratique pour découvrir des marques quand on n’a pas les boutiques à proximité.

Loved your honesty and this review! I also enjoyed Demi’s fragrance and thought it was very well done. I think it’s hard for people to be impartial about a fragrance when there’s someone attached to it. Their feelings about that person are always going to play at least a small role in their opinions of the fragrance.
Also completely agree about blind buys, samples are a MUST. Again, great video ❤️

You know what you're right about Demi and her fragrance, I've always thought the same with Jezzas frags, it's about what's in the bottle and even if we don't like it, it's nothing to do with the personality. I also have to say I've had a couple of interactions with Demi, I think about Black Opium and Joop 😳 and she was very and witty about it actually.

I watched Demi's channel once but really didn't interested me at all. Enyone could talk about fragrance doesn't make you an expert. saying that Your reviews are cool I really think you know what your talking about when it comes to fragrances. ✌

I don't have anything against any influencers, I watch several, but a fragrance would have to be very reasonably priced and be available to sample before I spent money on it. I don't really get people being such big fans of a youtuber that they'll spend several hundred pounds on a fragrance because it has their name associated with it.

I think it comes down to how much you trust their "tastes" and recommendations. If you have repeatedly purchased scents based on a particular influencers recommendations and consistently have liked what you bought and you find your preferences/tastes seem to align with that of a particular "fragrance influencer"... then it is not a far stretch to extrapolate that you might also like something they have Creatively been a part of.
No one wants to create a dud, so there is a good probability they have given it their best before launching the final product.

I don't really know Demi and I also watched only a few of her videos. She seems nice though...personally my "concerns" were more directed towards Fragrance du Bois, I thought "why would they ever need a collaboration with a fragrance reviewer?" It felt a bit opportunist... But then I realized that I wished some of my favorite RUclipsrs had this kind of opportunity (because I really trust their judgement and understand their taste). What about you Clémence, any fragrance collaboration? I bet it would be an Ambery/elegant/fierce type of perfume!

I completely get your point of view on that, I had some doubts too to be honest, but now when I think about it, brands collaborations are very normalised in other industries like beauty for example, and I find this is a good way to make the perfume industry more known really, I also think for us content creators this is a great opportunity and give us some kind of credibility too that most of us have to fight for nowadays hahaha
Id love to do a fragrance collaboration but it has to be with someone that shares my fragrance philosophy hehe, might be hard but id love too and indeed ill go to the ambery, warm side for sure !

I think Fragrance Du Bois's marketing research team clocked onto the fact that RUclips and social media influencers are an excellent source of marketing. It's like how Anna Wintour started putting celebrities on the prestigious and highly coveted covers of Vogue, that previously exclusively graced the face of models. She featured Kim and Kanye, for goodness sake. Remember the uproar? But she is a visionary and now it is the norm. Even Vogue has to evolve with the times to survive, so why not a prestigious niche fragrance house?
They have jumped on a collaboration with Demi Rawling who is to date the biggest female fragrance influencer on RUclips, if we are going by subscriber numbers. They have probably gotten her at a much lower price than future collaborations going forth, since her name will only grow.
"Fragrance reviewer" today, CEO of her own company tomorrow.
Don't forget that Jeffrey Starr, Jacklyn Hill and Michelle Phan were all once just "RUclips influencers" and branched out.
Your other favorite RUclipsrs don't have the opportunity because their boyfriend's dad doesn't own Fragrance du Bois. The fact that she's never disclosed this information is why many people find her shady and call her a shill

Most fragantica commenters have turned into trolls and bots, and they blast the ratings on there to drop it for those looking at it for reference. That’s why I don’t go off fragantica comments or ratings - maybe the comments give a generalized idea on the notes and perfume makeup but that’s it.

Be nice to your mum! I've never felt compelled by any reviewer fragrances. If they are any good, why are they not in top 10 lists of any reviewer (except paid reviews). Or at least that's how my brain thinks. 🤔

I watched some of Demi’s videos then i stopped watching because sometimes she was too harsh or even mean about the perfumes she disliked and I thought that’s not so nice of her. I never wrote any comment i just stopped watching. And I wouldn’t buy perfumes that named after someone who is not so nice.

Merci for making the effort to be objective with Demi's perfume. I am disappointed to see the vicious attacks aimed at her personally (and Rihanna) instead of judging the fragrances on their merits. I thought we were beyond criticizing a woman based on whom she sleeps with or, in Rihanna's case, how much money she has. I wish Demi, Rihanna, and other talented young women all the best in their careers despite the jealous detractors.

She didn't create a fragrance. She paid someone to create a fragrance. Just like almost every other YTer who has one. Anyone can pay to have a fragrance made. Nothing at all special about that. And people don't like her because she's a schill.
Okay well that’s me that didn’t express myself correctly , I know she didn’t create it, it’s a collaboration with a perfumer and a brand. I don’t think anyone can do that to be honest. She posted a lot of content and content creators knows how much work it is to do so also being one of the first ones to have some success, she opened the way for us, let’s not forget hehe

@@clemenceccfragrance I wasn't suggesting you weren't clear about it, just saying she sent a list of ingredients to a company and they sent her a fragrance. There are at least 2 YTers who actually make fragrances, one of them smells like ass, but at least he makes it himself. The rest of them are just cashing in on the frag bandwagon and relying on their subscribers to make sales. And then the companies doing the work aren't even known brands, so why would anyone with a discerning nose even want them?
