    Nice, tried it around salt Spring Island, do you have weights on ? What kind of depth. Cool video

    • @WatermanSurin
      @WatermanSurin  4 года назад +1

      Thanks! Yes, I am weighted to compensate for the very buoyant wetsuit! The depths in this video range from 30 - 45 feet. Would love to dive around Salt Spring, Ive heard its good.

    Tuwanek isn't the most interesting place to freedive in Sechelt and I wouldn't eat anything from the waters there as it's still to close to the marina and lots of oil in the water there and you can taste it in the shell fish that low in the inlet. But the Octopus that lives in those ilse is pretty freaking cool!!!!

      Its one of the best shore access spots in the area? unless im mistaken.

    It would be cool to get some narrative throughout the video. Maybe put little word clips when you are giving an intro about the Sunshine Coast (i.e., where it is, climate, what the water is like, etc.) in the beginning of the video. Other than that, great video. Keep it up!

    I would be too nervous to do this. Our cottage is on the sunshine coast. I see too many orcas.

    Wetsuit thickness?

    • @WatermanSurin
      @WatermanSurin  4 года назад +1

      Hey Riley, I wear a 7mm 2 piece Open Cell Neoprene Wetsuit. I'm warm in it year-round here around Vancouver Island. My feet get really cold in the winter though. I need to upgrade to open cell socks.
