Hi, I'm from Chile and I wanted to ask you how you did to lift the vehicle? Is there a lifting kit that allows you to lift it, here in Chile there is no such kit, do you know if there is one that they send to Chile?
I got a 02 sport .. what did you use to lift the ass end .. I added new shocks already and I kept it from sagging but for some reason my front is an inch or 1.5 higher then the rear ...
I like it I don’t know why you’re putting her down and not giving her love lol. But yea I’ve got an old ‘04 Aviator myself I’ve been wanting to tamper with it and do something like a lift just out of boredom really. I’ve had it a long time and I’m just getting that itch all of the sudden. Its not a 4x4 though unfortunately, and I’m not really trying to look or act as if it is. Plus it’s got a nice stock ride so I don’t want to raise it a lot. But I am probably going to change the keys and shackles to 3” and then throw some 20”s on her just to be ignorant 👍 I may even forget the shackles, and just squat it and throw some ridiculous spacers on the back as well...I am curious though if that front spindle you used for this build would be compatible with the aviator? I know the sport trac has the most similar suspension of the fords built around then so it probably would right? What brand was it? Sounded like you said mag strip?
What do you mean? He tells you it’s raised seven inches. In the front he said he changed out the stock spindles for 4 inch extended ones, and he also did an entire body lift by replacing the torsion keys with extended ones and he cranked them to the max. He didn’t say what length keys he used, but by simple assumption since he said it’s raised 7 inches and the spindles were 4 of those inches I’d say he bought 3 inch keys. Which are about the longest keys you can get. Then in the back all he did was add some extended shackles which is the second part of the body lift kit. So basically if you want to do this you need a full body lift leveling kit and then the spindles. The good news is that it’s not that expensive, you can get it done for around $300 if you do the installation yourself.
It’s maxtrac 4 inch ranger spindles with cranked torsion bars up from for 7 inches front. And pro comp add a leafs with shackles rear. Total of about 7 front 5 rear
Lift is also used for suspension travel. Look at trophy trucks in the dunes. They are 2wd but the lift allows suspension travel for taking jumps and clearing obstacles. Some 2wd pre runners are heavily modified but still street legal. Check out some Pismo Dunes videos.
What is the whole list of parts so I can get my Ford the same way?
Awesome brings back memories
Man dont like his truck 😂
Looks nice. But I’d go with front coil overs and I’d ditch the torsion bars for that much lift.
Wow bad ass wheels
Can you send me links to this lift I can’t find any lifts for this car I got the same exact car
same! i just have a 05

I really don't get it if you start heading Maurice pass like Texas people start lifted trucks that aren't four-wheel drive I don't understand
For looks I lifted my 96 xlt explorer and it’s 2wd
Mines 4x4
Exactly they shouldn't even make 2 wheel drive Explorers they should call them a different name like "Little Johnny's Adventure Wagon" or something.
