I have struggled with these types of hinges for YEARS. Your instructions were exceptionally clear and simple ... for some reason, I could never made the connection between the screws' functions and their effects. Thank you for recording this video!
I knew I had European hinges. But after I moved, the fires would not close flush. Finally decided to Google it. So glad you showed up. This was so helpful. Thank you.
The instructions on this video are clear and easy to follow., the best of all the videos I watched on adjusting cabinet doors. Provided exactly the info I needed. Thank you!
Thanks sharing this information! It was extremely helpful and to the point. I had almost given up on a cabinet I was building and came searching for how to adjust the doors. With your info, I was able to go up and easily adjust what I needed to.
Thank you for this!! I was so fixated on the adjustments for the outer edge and the gap between the cabinet and the door I completely forgot 😮about the adjustment available on the screws that affix the hinges to the frame!
Thanks. I just fixed my cabinet. I didn't know how and normally wait for my son to come adjust it, but I can't stand it when one door won't shut. You're a lifesaver..
Is there an adjustment that makes the hinge move more smoothly? I have Ferrari hinges that are similar to the ones you show. The alignment is fine; the hinge is too tight.
Apparently they are often called "Overlay" hinges. I've heard them called hidden hinges or European hinges... sooo... maybe try any combination of those words in a search?
How do you keep these hinged doors to stay closed. When I shut them they don't auto close like the other doors and have a small gap. Won't close all the way. Are the hinges sprung from opening too far ?
Well, I don't know your exact setup, but for the "soft close" feature (so they don't slam) you typically need to get hinges which feature that. Soft close hinges a pretty close to regular hinges but they have a little piece of plastic to sort of cushion the closing mechanics. I converted some of my cabinet doors a little while ago and made a video about them: ruclips.net/video/0h2MEp9NXRM/видео.html You can find soft close hinges at most home improvement stores.
Okay, so how about this. I have two cabinets in my kitchen that will not close correctly. The gap is perfect, the height alignment is exactly correct and I have adjusted the door depth every which way but off, but the inner top corner sits proud to the other door. What adjustment can be done to alter that?
Hmm. Any chance that the cabinet is slightly crooked or slanted? Or it's possible that the doors were simply not installed in alignment. There is a point where all the adjusting won't make up for an installation that isn't close to aligned. We had a kitchen with slanted floors in an old house and our cabinet doors never completely lined up simply because over the years the cabinet had formed a slight bend in it. It's a pain, but you can uninstall one (or both) of the doors and re-hang them.. You may also be able to use some makeshift shims with the hinges to "push" them in or out a little bit more than the adjustment would allow.
Stupid question. If I wanted to remove the door to paint it etc. do I remove the screws from the door to take off or the frame?? I feel I’d have to take them from the door??? Ty
Dee B. Just remove the screws and remove the hinges and then just realign everything. Or leave the hinges on and just use blue masking tape to cover up the hinges before painting the doors

One search. One video. Done. Thanks for sharing.
3 minutes well-spent, my bathroom cabinet no longer pisses me off every day. Thanks!
Best instructions I've ever found on these types of hinges!
Very helpful information.
For moving cabinets closer together to close the door gaps, screw the 3rd screw in (tighten).
Thank you for the UP CLOSE, CLEAR EXPLANATION of the hinge.... I am GLAD I found your video it was the only video that I found to clearly help me!!!
Excellent. Clear instruction with examples, easy to follow along with good clear voice. Maybe the best overall instructional video i have seen.

I think Home Depot, Lowes should hire you. They would have no more returns of bathroom mirror cabinets;-) thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you, my cabinets have bothered me for 3years now.
short and sweet buddy.,thz
Do you have a name or link for this type of hinge? I searched european but something different comes up. Thanks

I have those same hinges but the door doesn't close all the way
Omg...every cabinet door and drawer in my HUGE kitchen is off kilter. I will have to hire someone.
I have a M&B hinges
Stupid question. If I wanted to remove the door to paint it etc. do I remove the screws from the door to take off or the frame?? I feel I’d have to take them from the door??? Ty

This helps to get them adjusted properly, but they’ll fall out of adjustment in a month or less. Hate these kinds of hinges.
My hinge is different
The up and down screw does not bring up the far edge.
Your hand is in the way!
totally couldnt see what you were doing...
Make it wooden with the help of the Woodprix instructions.
Didn’t explain the most important part
What was the most important part? He literally did what the title said
Next time use a screw driver that is longer as your have blocked the view we need.
I gave this thumbs down because the presenter's hand obscured too much of exactly what I was looking for.
I did it myself with the woodglut plans. I think this is the best way to find out how to build it.
Thanks for this well made video
Thank you, You're a life saver. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you!
Excellent video. Thank you.
