      this is a quote:
"also watch darryl syms play guitar cause he's a sick cunt"
...is the most bogan and suspicious thing i've seen this week.
      made me LAUGH OUT LOUD.

Does this run on Presonus ? & can you split any song i.e done by band or solo that is copyrighted, just for personal use ?

Something I just haven't gotten a good answer to that maybe you can help with. If I'm already using a different DAW, do I even need the pro to get those features or should I just go with the regular version? the $100 makes a difference.

I got this recently and have been playing around with it. I'm a beginner-intermediate guitarist and want to try recording my own guitar covers where i'm playing the guitar part(s) in the original mix. So for example I might rip a Metallica song, learn the guitar parts and then replace them in the original track with my playing. The one thing it doesn't seem like RipX can do is separate multiple guitar tracks. A lot of bands have 2-3 guitars and RipX throws them all together as one track. If I wanted to learn both parts of a guitar harmony and record myself playing both what are my options with RipX? I was thinking my only option would be to duplicate the original ripped guitar track and then manually go bar by bar identifying and separating the notes of the harmonies so I end up with 2 separate guitar tracks I can listen to & learn from. Is that the only way to accomplish what I'm describing?

Good question. Yeah unfortunately RipX (and all other similar apps on the market I imagine) do not separate instrument stacks. In the instance of guitar, you would unfortunately need to manually delete notes.
You can try messaging them to recommend your request in a future update or maybe they’ll be able to give you a better tip 🙂

Celemony’s Melodyne can do exactly that - certain premium versions with what they call Direct Note Access - but they’re not cheap
