When they called Devilster an “online player “ I think the sort of meant he has some bad habits. Online players are overly aggressive and sometimes, Devilster was overly aggressive. That being said, he’s still a beast at the game and plays Jin in a very interesting ways. I’ve been watching his RUclips shorts and other videos for a pretty long time . I’m happy to see him get some views and fame.
What's so bad about being an overly aggressive player? I mean, you can be defensive and overly aggressive right? If the window to punish is good after a successful defence wouldn't overwhelming aggression be good? Or even starting off the match with aggression then doing defense on top of it before switching it up into aggression.
Knee's EVO 2022 Feng is unlike any Feng I have ever seen. Uses fundamental high tech movement for majority of mobility, and only slips in the Feng moves to supplement. Very different than other Feng who can't sidestep into parry or block or backstep or fuzzy guard constantly like knee. I don't think even Harada imagined Feng could be like that.
that's how most of the Korean fights in general (ofc there's some exception like eyemusician, BoaluvB).....full fendamental heavy fight style, it's boring but effective

I play both of these characters, but lately all I've been seeing is Jin vs Feng and it's crazy because both of these characters you gotta use the majority of their move list
Devilster is a good Jin player. I watch his videos a lot. I like his fights against Heihachi (Aqeel Zahoor. Aqeel is my favorite Heihachi player after Heihachi JDCR.

it took me several years to realize that Jin has to threat a lot with his HS for the character to work well, I've tried to play him safely with pokes only, but for that there are much better characters, at least for me

It's weird to dismiss Devilster as "just an online player" and not a tourney pro-player. There's plenty of examples of of Online players going pro and whoopin' ass in tourney. My favorite example being SMUG from SF4. He was a big online player back in the day, and now he's one of the top pros in the SF Esports scene.
Really does make me want to play Jin just watching Devilster completely show off the character. Although, fighting so many Jins and never EVER remembering to block his jab low low strings, or jab low, or d33 low mid just really irks me lol. I love Jin but the amount of people who get me with those strings is just too much for me to bear. I can't hang with those kinds of strings, although my main Bob is kinda the king of bullshit strings like that so I can't really complain.

ok heres a theory,geese is fair untill he has bar,the he will do bullshit,jin is always fair until he is launch punishing your safe mids,akuma is always unfair,but he hs no fundamentals to spam,heihatchi is Op but not unfair,cuz he dont have lows,zafina is bullshit but still has no 15f launch and has relatively low combo dmg,for shure shitty wall carry,steve is bulllshit but has no 15f launch and is weak to punch parry lol,even devil jin is bullshit but every max dmg combo is hard af,and he will lose a set vs a turtle based on amount of hellsweeps blocked,FENG has a strong spammable safe set of pokes,and launchers,but can compliment this with kenpo,and the most usefull panic moves of any character,his sidestep 4 doesnt even stagger,i saw it not get launched a few times in evo,the amount of times with feng yu can break up your flow chart of safe pokes with things that are pure bullshit and still be only minus 12(punch sebaki,back1),and then once per 5 rounds he will do a launch punishable move,but a diferent one every time,like we see shoulders in neutral,we se backswing blows,we see forward 4,3 just let rip,its so much work fighting that and the feng is simply not working that hard its all easy execution and a 3 layer flow chart,like jab,into 10 hit,df1,b4,sidestep mid poke,safe wall bounce,safe mid launchers,its a heihatchi level of mid pressure and yes he has the second layer of 8 lows,many minus 12 mids that are retarded,and a whole bag of launch punishable god moves,and from all of this he now does half life,on big charatcer he has the dmg record wall combo with ff3,shoulder,id say he currently has no counter as no matter how many of his moves you can counter,he can just not do those and still will have a complete toolkit left,as a bonus feng has the record for most amount of high dmg grounded hitting moves(20dmg and above on grounded hit)
