This 3 km long tropical relatively quiet beach is not only home to the famous Whale Tail Beach but also the base for many popular tours such as whale & dolphin watching or Caño island.

What a beautiful beach except for those crocodiles in the rivers nearby. Reminds me of the salt water crocodiles in Australia..too dangerous to swim. Like the fact you can walk between the beaches at low tide
We found that there are quite a few rivers with crocodiles here. We find plenty of those signs. Amazing to watch them though, but from a save distance. And that walk on low tide is really nice. Seeing people walking there from the side makes it look as if they are walking on water.
Such a beautiful beach, that whale tail really is something special. 🤩

Oh yes and plenty of them as well. But only in certain rivers, so you'll be fine at the beaches and lakes. 😄🏄♀️
