After almost 65 years of listening to classical music, I have never heard the Joachim first concerto. I knew that he worked with Brahms on Brahm's violin concerto, but it is tragic that Joachim's first concerto is not also popular and played often. It is marvelous. I made a wonderful discovery today! sanjosemike
So I am a writer and beginner violinist and enthusiast trying to track down an obscure reference to a Joachim concert in London in the late 1800s. The commenters here seem to feel this is not Joachim. So who is it? Also any thoughts on my treasure hunt?

Nice Concerto!!!! I can't understand that this great concerto isn't popular and played so often. Nice performance
This may be one of the most criminally underrated violin concertos.
I've never heard it before! I like it!
The other 10.39 end of this concerto is also worth hearing.
I want this to be the first concerto i play, but my fav is wieniawski’s first concerto but that is way too intense for me
Im learning the wieniawski right now its very tuff but rewarding

Anyone know how hard is this concerto? What level?
I’m quite late, lol. Wieniawski 1 level. All technique but musically straightforward.

Is this Daniel Hope on the violin?
Firsth(1th) or Oneth?
@Clarinet4Life1 No! First! (1st)
