I was fortunate enough to get one of these for 1200 CAD in new condition. The producer I got it from basically gave me his Roli account too, so I got all the sound libraries. There are so many incredible things about this instrument but the best is that I can finally bend notes and play the blues like bb king
Acoustic & Electric musicians don't like it but you have to face it, everything that can be written mathematically could be done by maschines. only composers gonna like this beast.
if its a non mpe-centric synth you have to do a bit of setup to get the most out of the seaboard, Kontakt is one of the easier ones to work with ive heard, there should be tutorial videos knocking around on how best to do it.

Keith Dsouza i have a psr-s770. and also a seaboard 49. If you have a keyboard already hen get a seabord. But its not practical getting a seabord if you dont have any other keyboards specially if u r beginner and want to learn a keyboard
I like the keyboard but i do not like that i have to set it up and use it by the computer. i prefer the sounds and set up on the keyboard every good quality sound on the keyboard without take with me 2 o3 device and speaker too.
My personal opinion would be, not for a beginner. I only say that if you are trying to learn piano/keys, as this is not really a keyboard it’s a whole new type of instrument. I’ve played keys for a long time and bought a seaboard a couple of years ago - the learning curve to play it was quite steep and the playing technique quite different to get the most out of the articulations.
This is best instrument than piano itself (or any synth). So this option option is best choice. After it you wouldn't need any other keyboard/controller. And you can play any expression/ instrument on this. Same not true for casual midi keyboards.
I invested in a 49 thinking I would be getting some working version of Bitwig, but I got a trial version which will not save or export more than a few raw tracks. As much as I like the nice folks and the vision, Roli friends seem to have a Trump University approach to advertising '_'
You make it sound like the hardware isn’t worth anything. That’s primarily what you are paying for a stupidly advanced midi controller. I just see the software I get as a bonus.
1 Seaboard block (24 2 octave) is only 299£. Is that a huge unafordable price? How much do you earn per month? Other midi controllers have same price range but they can't do what Seaboard 5d can 🎹🎵

mine came with bitwig 8 track and lots of other programs, i thought they were pretty generous with the software.
