Concur. Galicia is beautiful and enchanting. I lived and studied in Spain for three years, including five months in Vigo. My paternal grandfather was from Lugo. And yes, I do feel ''morriña''.
From Galician: It is dawning slowly in the lands of the sunset, the fog fades with the first sun rays. (Ch): My love, my love, we go out to sea. My beloved, my sweetheart we're going through the lands of the beyond. Caress the silence and listen to your heart Because most of your dreams beat at the same sound. It's time to go across the way And not to forget the time that will come and what you have to do. And the sun goes silent, lying into the sea, Making us small in so much inmensity.
This is Galician, (galego) a language very closely related to Portuguese and together with Spanish official language of Galicia, the Spanish region just North of Portugal. Its capital is the famous Santiago de Compostela.
Andre Wolff, yes, the northwest of Spain (now mainly Galicia and Asturias), and Portugal (all of it although more a lot more visible in the nothern half). All those areas were inhabited by celts almost 3 times the time they were ruled by Rome. The oldest known celtic manuscript in Europe was found in Alentejo region, in southern Portugal.
Garrett Harrison"much of asia minor" is quite far fetched from "Anatolia" which was where celtic influence got. And I'm sorry, I forgot the line of the conversation...Would you mind to remind me?
Nu pot spune ce simt in suflet atunci cand ascult...Fredonari si linii ale sufletului ce existau mereu dar pana acum nu au prins glas, sa fie auzite..pana am ascultat melodia ce are parca in ea o bucatica din sufletul meu...din framantarile mele. MULTUMESC.
Here in Brazil we are missing Luar na Lubre. For two times they crossed by here and we felt as a piece of our family, because as galicians, portugueses, spanishs and so much other people they became up on our days for to sing so simple and precious things as earth's roots.
Iam brazilian and this song sounds and I can understand as portuguese, but they've being saying that the official language is galicia... Nice song anyway..... tx for posting
Galician is such a beautiful language specially for songwriting and poetry. Too bad there are not many people who know it even exist, thanks to the Spanish government who for 600 years have been trying to destroy the Galician language and culture. I myself am Galician and this oppression saddens me, but we will carry on fighting peacefully for our rights and our culture.
The sun is rising slowly by the western lands. Mist dissapear with the sun rays. My love, my love, we are going towards the big sea. My beloved, my goodness, we are going through the lands beyond. It's time to walk , and do not forgot that the future that will come is what you must do. My love, my love, ... And the sun goes quietly lying down in the sea. Making us to look little with its immensity.
its portuguese!! Im stunned because i didnt understood in the moment but i can guarantee its portuguese because its my language! Its a beautifull song, it showd me how Galicia and Portugal are so close
@mirallnadal ,, ESTOY MUY DEACUERDO CONTIGO "TROJANO" UN PAIS ESPECIAL, DE TENER LA OPORTUNIDAD YO, ESTARIA VIVIENDO EN EL CIELO POR APRECIAR ASI A GALICIA

+Co So Much of Asia minor was controlled by the Celts for a very long time. They also sacked Rome around 395 bc and took it for ransom. Gangster
