The best part about Law's new very different design, is that the chest scars he has are now across his chest, not like in Tekken 7 where it was only on the left side of his chest
the scar is another call back to Enter the Dragon, Bruce Lee gets the same three claw scar across his chest from the main villain. since they seem to be going all in on Bruce, maybe they readjusted it back to look more like it.
His Rage Art is a cool Bruce Lee nod, even if it’s not the most flashy super out there. Likewise, while the inclusion of muscular tension is nice, I feel like SF6’s implementation is a bit more impressive. Maybe it’s because they actually include body fat for more of their characters instead of having everyone being Yujiro Hanma levels of ripped.
I think there's an audience for both types of muscle representation tbh. Street Fighter being more grounded (despite being stylized) really gives a sense of realism and "weight" to the fighters that can't previously be felt with older generations of models. Tekken goes balls to the wall with their superhero physiques. They take their unrealistic muscle proprotions and then run with it, turning it up to 11 with the new gen graphics. Probably wouldn’t look as engaging for Law for his whole super to be in slow motion.
15:08 Pretty much the reason many people think the rage art lacks impact. If you slow to 0.5 speed and look closely at his landing, several moments pass before ANYTHING happens. No effects, no camera rumble, no reaction from the person who just got stomped on with full body weight.
