  • Green Hills is a beautiful neighborhood that is central to some of the best communities Nashville has to offer. Bordered by Belle Meade, Sylvan Park, Brentwood, and 12South, Green Hills provides a wonderful place to call home that offers easy access to nightlife, great schools, fine dining, and unique shopping.
While many only visit Green Hills for the Green Hills Mall or some of the many boutiques and retail stores, some choose to call it home for the same reason. The area is known for its high-end fashion and features chains like Nordstrom, Restoration Hardware, and Kate Spade, but also features many locally owned shops that you won't find anywhere else, such as Parnassus Books and the Private Label.
You'll find your favorite chain restaurants in Green Hills, but your best bet is to visit one of the locally owned shops that locals have been visiting for years. Noshville Delicatessen offers delicious New York-style sandwiches, the Firefly is a great place for a casual dinner, and the Copper Kettle Cafe offers a traditional meat and three spread. For a finer dining experience, make reservations for Char or Etc. To truly be called a Nashvillian, a trip to the Bluebird cafe is essential, and you'll likely hear both up and coming artists and already famous musicians playing "in the round" as you enjoy dinner and drinks.
Just a short drive from Green Hills are some of Nashville's most beautiful parks including Radnor Lake and the Warner Parks system. Take a friend or pet and spend some quiet time walking or hiking one of the many trails, or check out their programming schedule for fun things to do.
Some of Nashville's top public schools are located in Green Hills, ensuring your kids get a top education, and the Green Hills library is a great asset to the community. The area is also convenient to some of Nashville's top college campuses, including Belmont University, Lipscomb University, Nashville State Community College, and Vanderbilt University, making it ideally suited for families with growing kids.
Green Hills has evolved over the years and it's most evident in the homes available in the community. Historic, craftsman charmers line the older established streets, but are mixed in with large estates that scream luxury. Traditional townhomes have become popular closer to the center of the neighborhood, and most recently, some new condos have been developed that offer great views.
No matter what style home you're seeking, Green Hills has something to offer everyone. With plenty to see and do and a convenience to Nashville and other incredible neighborhoods that can't be beaten, you should consider a visit to the community of Green Hills.
