Nice one Lee. I was wondering if we could install Commander Pi in Ubuntu-Mate. I tried but it didn't work. BTW I actually did the overclocking on Ubuntu-Mate Berryboot by accessing the filesystem in the File Manager of the OS and opening the config.txt file with admin status and added those overclocking lines. The path was /boot/firmware/config.txt.
Overclocker should also do some stability test, like for example running stress + glmark2 at the same time in two terminals for at lreast 10 minutes, something like: 'stress-ng -c 4' and in the same time in another 'glmark2 --run-forever' - one heats up CPU, another heats up GPU. If computer freeezes or mouse movement slowing down or apps starts segfaulting or drivers crashing (see in dmesg), etc... that is not good OC, you have to took values down and repeat. And for a GPU OC how much it make sense to go high, you can watch by running glxgears in fullscreen as usually glxgears is CPU bound in a window, but GPU bound in fullscreen, so as we want something GPU bound: GALLIUM_HUD=simple,fps,cpu vblank_mode=0 glxgears -fullscreen Value for CPU should be less than 25 if case is GPU bound (it is in percentage, 4 cores means 100%). As long as that fps result goes up in this, it make sense trying to add more Hz for a GPU - so find last value with a speed gain (and no artifacts) and stop right there. At the end, what one could gaining as stable OC upon such stressing, is a reasonable to me. Of course, BTW cooling solution must be adequate - during stressing temps shouldn't go as high to cause throttling 😆 So, watch temperature! Once you found your sweet spot OC, do stressing for longer like a half a hour, but better two... and try to use it like that for days. If something weird still happens, you know a drill - took it down a bit.
I overclocked my MATE to 2.147 and got the same error you did, however, after 10 seconds or so it continued to boot normally. The 'no clock' error comes up every time, but it will boot.
Is there a way to either berryboot or start up your pie and choose different images of retropie or basically any image of an operating system to loadp so you can have a collection of images on an SSD and then be able to choose which one you want to run out which time
I believe the overclock lines should be in the usercfg.txt file instead of the config.txt....... thats why the config.txt is including the usercfg.txt file
Unable to overclock Ubuntu Mate Desktopify, I've edited config.txt as prescribed, rebooted, still 1.5Ghz. Tried the usercfg.txt, rebooted, still 1.5Ghz. Benchtest results unchanged, any suggestions?
With Berryboot, how can you add SSH for a fresh install? If you just have an image you can add the SSH file, but in Berryboot I couldn't find a way and it forces me to connect a keyboard in the first boot.
any tutorial on how to put ubuntu-mate desktopify version on berryboot? I want to try it but I also want to keep raspberry pi os if in case there is an issue on booting the OS

For me it is freezing with these settings in Desktopify Ubuntu-Mate newer version 06-07-2020: over_voltage=6 arm_freq=2147 gpu_freq=750 It is very stable with : over_voltage=6 arm_freq=2100 gpu_freq=700
You can beautify RaspOS by: 1) Install -> sudo apt install adapta-gtk-theme 2)Ddownload -> raspbian.raspberrypi.org/raspbian/pool/main/p/papirus-icon-theme/ and download latest all.deb file and install it with sudo dpkg -i papirus-icon-theme_20200602-1_all.deb 3) Go to Preferences -> Main menu Editor -> Prefrences -> tick Theme and Apperances and select the theme and icons.
Thank you very much for this - fantastic and made my day! Appreciate all your videos and work you do.
'ask and you shall receive' is pretty rare for youtube :D
Thank you for running all these tests. You've built a mine of information.
flippin brilliant aint he? :)

Is there any chance you could do a video on overclocking Libre Elec if at all possible?
It’s the same as this video
anyone knows if right now is it possible to dual boot Retropie 4.6 and Twister OS via Berryboot? I think they took retropie off berryboot...

I always overclock in this way. Neofetch and the cpu panel both show the overclock working.
gracias por este tutorial
mi raspberry es solo de 2 gb ram pero funciona mejor ahora

Hey leepspvideo, you should totally make a video on how to install Grafana, InfluxDB & Telegraf
Not really my thing.
you could totally make one Deeper

I don’t really do much with ssh.

@AlienSnipe Master Takes too long. And its easier to just download it.
How did you get Neofetch working under Pi OS ???
sudo apt install neofetch
Then to run it
neofetch

Ohh, this simple...
Well I tried it a few days ago, but the package was not found.
Will try it again soon.
Thanks for your answer!
So well, I tried again ajnd now it works! THX !!!
For me it is freezing with these settings in Desktopify Ubuntu-Mate newer version 06-07-2020:
over_voltage=6
arm_freq=2147
gpu_freq=750
It is very stable with :
over_voltage=6
arm_freq=2100
gpu_freq=700
I also had a freeze at 2147. Each OS seems to Overclock differently.
