This is sooo helpful. After a rocky flight I’ve been stuck in DR/DP where all I can think about is the fact we are all floating on a rock in space and i spiral and terrify myself. I’m really trying to work through this
You know, you have had those same thoughts in a non DPDR state before. It didn’t freak you out then. Your nervous system is just having one big anxiety attack over your existence since there is no other reason for your stress hormones to fire off, so it has to pin it on something. All the thoughts you have with DPDR are mostly thoughts you have had before. Like Barry Mcdonagh says in his DARE book if you had a magic wand that lowered your stress hormones then the panic, the feelings of unreality (DPDR) would disappear. Just know you haven’t changed and you will once again know life as it was. I am proof and I had it bad. Stay strong. God Bless.
Yes, anxiety does cause paranoid thoughts. When I had my first panic attack, I had to call an ambulance. When they were talking to me, I was so paranoid. I kept thinking that if they took me to the hospital, the doctors were going to think I was crazy and send me to a mental hospital.
I see you are trying something new out.. Tbh I prefer when I can see your faces etc not the still screen.. I get distracted with that and don't take the info in.. (I'm a visual learner)
Both women are very knowledgeable and know what they are teaching. Glad they are doing such helpful work.
thank you for this ❤️

Hello!
Thank you for this video!
Aida, I don't always understand what you say (because of your accent), but I'm glad subtitles are available.
Is there a way to also add video for the podcasts for RUclips?
Can anxiety cause random paranoid thoughts ? I'm confused on this. I have anxiety but not sure if those thoughts could be anxiety .
