Metal Monday...April 1st...I smell a prank video
My thought exactly. My guess is that he'll play something turned up to 11. 😁
I was half-expecting Hatebeak
Fooled me, it's April 2nd in Oz when this premiered
(gotta look in video details to see posted April 1st)
As a Metal fan. I'd have no idea it's a prank. 🤣🤣🤣
He did that a few weeks ago...he did Tears for Fears on a Monday
Bill McClintock is a genius
He really is.
His Temptations and Overkill mashup is a legit banger.
His mashup and Fleetwood Mac and Earth Wind & Fire might be better than either original song (and they were both already amazing).
the land down "oneder" is so effing good
I'm a picky mofo and don't slap a "genius" label on just anything. That said, Bill McClintock has absolutely EARNED the "genius" label.
It's hard to pick out a favorite, but his "Ace of Shout" matchup is nothing short of glorious.
I'm hoping to one day hear a "Rainbow in the Dark of the Bay" mashup of Otis Redding and DIO.
You know.... in a world obsessed with negativity, chaos and hopelessness it's nice to tune into Doug with his smiling face, great sense of humor and great comments and jam some frickin metal. Or whatever
Bill's mashups are amazing. He even snuck in some Megadeth there during the solo!
And some Judas Priest
Yeah, thought I saw Marty Friedman in there.
Yeah peace sells
Bill McClintock is the master of mashups. His Slayer with Wham or the Bangles are genius
The Slayer & Katrina and the Waves mash up is his best
What an absolute banger. They just dont make metal as heavy as this anymore.
*shake* *shake* *shake*...*scattering noises*... "Ah, man. The top came off. We're gonna keep rolling tho..." *Doug dances*
I'm dying
I was expecting Rick Astley, honestly.🤪 Huey Lewis rocks!
Before you even played the song, I thought "Wait, is this an April Fool's, Doug?" but I definitely wasn't expecting this! 🤣
Your shaker beads flying everywhere was just the icing on the cake. Lol
Excellent - well done Doug! Put a smile on my face.
Some folks are fixin to be Rick Rolled.
First thing I thought.
Doug is just too pure of heart to put on a convincing poker face
Nothing else matters but the Heart of Rock and Roll 🤘🏻 is on side B
And so Doug has finally lost his beads... :)
Thanks for that Doug, it has lifted my spirit for sure. Here is another great mashup if you want to keep going.. Earth Wind and Fire with Foo Fighters....it rocks!

It's actually three songs. The solo is Living after Midnight by Judas Priest.
Four songs - there are also some guitar riffs and one solo from Megadeth's "Peace Sells".
when I heard the solo from Living After Midnight, I was hyped!!
I tried so hard not to scream in my office.
what a nice mashup, thank you Mr.Doug, for introduce this to us😍
The expression on your face alone after the spill made the video extra good - way to go Doc.
Huey's "backup singers" in the dark glasses are members of the San Francsico 49ers from the late 80, including Joe Montana and Dwight Clark. They came on stage with Huey and the News on several occasions.
His best mashup is "Raining Lobsters" ("Raining Blood" by Slayer + "Rock Lobster" by the B-52's).
One of Bill McClintock’s masterpiece mashups. 🤘
Fun Fact/ Huey Lewis toured playing harmonica and back up vocals with Thin Lizzy and considered Phil Lynot a role model..
it's amazing what they can to with recordings now, separating parts of the music and patching them together with other stuff. somebody put a lot of work into this. kudos.
This was an absolute treasure, is this a yearly tradition now? God I hope so!
He hasn't heard the Cannibal Corpse lounge music tv sketch.
They even got Megadeth from Rust in Peace tour on the screen.
James Hetfield's "heh heah!" was perfectly timed after the top came off. 😂
Har har, hardy har har! (Bug's quote"! So was that Glen whipping out the LIVING AFTER MIDNIGHT solo @ 4:27?? Cool! 🕊️☮️
I don't know how many times I've watched this since you've posted it. I sent the link to all my musical friends. Thanks again! 😀
Fantastic! Well done Mr McClintock, absolutely loved this piece of genius music. could you ask him if he has anymore tracks like this we can listen to?
Doug, you are a treasure! Never stop being you!
WOW! Who'd a thunk it??? I like it! We used to play Enter Sandman every night. But this version is really 'hip'! Thanks for posting this! Greg in TN 😀 PS: Sorry about the shaker.
It's amazing how many mashups work together
That was such unexpected suuuuper fun. Talk about going from excited to disappointed and then,,,,, exactly what I didn't know I need. Thank you Doug 🤘
Bill McClintock and DJ Cummerbund are both amazing mashup artists. I can never decide which I like more 😂
I'm a fan too. This song is great. Thank you for introduce me to it. 🤣
Ole' "Wild" Bill is a made genius. Between him and DJ Cumberbun there are some seriously amazing mashups.
Given the date, I figured this was either going to be Primitive Man or ABBA. But can’t go wrong with a Billy Mc mashup.
Well that just put an unexpected smile on my face!!!!
That was very cool!! I had never seen this before.
I'm so happy Doug knows who Bill McClintock is! ☺️
My favorite RUclips channel. This sealed the deal @ 3:33. I was laughing so hard my family though I turned insane because I watched it like 10 times in a row laughing every time.
Buahahahah! This is so God damn great! Truly goated! Thanks for sharing! :D
Bill McClintock is a mad scientist! You must react to the Slayer Edwin Starr collaboration! 😂
Guitar solo was from Megadeth's "peace sells". My fav moment was 3:50
Followed by the solo from Judas Priest Living After Midnight.
The Megadeth part was awesome
Just Caught this two days late, now rewinding the clock, I get it!!!! Nice one!!!!!
Haha! Your shaker thingy played an April Fool’s joke on you too!
Love Huey,and the combo works
Bill McClintock is a legend! I love his mashups.
Definitely a fun and surprising pop up video 😮 take care and have fun 😎
Haha I love the shaker and the piano really adds to the mix, love the vids 👍👍
Very clever! LOL! The beads coming out of the shaker had the perfect rhythm too! Rock On Doug!🤘
The Devil's Horns section kicking it up a notch!!! 🤘👌
Adding the peace sell’s riffs to this is absolutely menacing 😂
These videos are a lot of fun. It's not something I could listen to all the time, but when they do pop up, I usually enjoy them.
Not the Kirk solo i expected either. But as always Peace Sells but who's buyin.
Was so hoping it was the Ballad of Bilbo Baggins
I was in disbelief at the beginning, so fool, but I got, a little slow but I got it! it was fantastic and yes it works very well, thank you for that mister, I always enjoy your videos, always, your knowledge of the chords just by hearing? Amazing, every single time, blows me away man! such an experienced musician you are. Love your channel.
Doug was distracted by the shaker mess that he missed the Megadeth Peace Sells riff, and he just listened to the track, lol. Plus, that was a snippet of Chris Poland’s solo.
Three Little Pigs by Green Jelly?
This popped up in my RUclips yesterday after many years haha
Doug, please do a video on the band Jellyfish and their song Joining A Fan Club. That would be so great! I’d love for you to hear that band!
I have found profound connections between Heavy METAL and CLASSICAL. I love BOTH genres because I think there is a trade off between the 2.
Love this!
Ahhh, you got me. Even 3 days after the fact - didn't check the date until it started.
I like this mash up, but the One / Land Down Under mashup is still my favourite.
This is my new favorite metal song too, I can't believe I missed this one back in the day
Bill McClintock channel is pure gold. Can't say which mashup is the best. Each is great.
C’mon, this has to be an April fools joke, right?? The shaker breaking was surely a highlight 😂
You should find the one where they sad, but true mash up with some thing, and it’ll blow your mind. I played this one for my brother-in-law, and he fell over.
Brilliant!
Serious Fun!
Doug, the last 8 bars of the guitar solo is the solo from "Living After Midnight" by Judas Priest. Take a listen to it and compare!
Yes, by Glenn Tipton. And in the beginning of the solo is Marty Friedman from another (Megadeth?) song. Definitely not Kirk Hammett...
Well, that was pretty funny Doug! my wife and I really enjoy your show. You always bring a smile to her face.
What no mention of the Glenn Tipton cameo playing the solo from Living After Midnight?
Funny :). My favourite one of these is a mashup between Wham! "Last Christmas" and Slayer "Angel of death." 4:06 is the solo from Peace Sells and the it morphs into the solo from Judas Priest's Livin after Midnight. Fun little mashup for April Fools!
I do not understand what I just saw.
I did not know it existed until this video.
Doug, you have made my day.
Well played, sir!
Bill McClintock's mashup of Slayer & Katrina and the Waves is absolute genius...and hilarious to boot. "And don't it feel good? Chemical Warfare!"
April fools or not, that was pretty awesome
when you pulled out the shaker, I straightup laughed out loud. GENIUS.
Thanks Doug!!! I did not think you would show me anything about Metallica that would literally blow my mind!! You did, and I appreciate it!!
you got me. I couldnt hit the stop button fast enough.
who knew Sean Hopper played a one-off with 'tallica! Awwwwwwwwesome! Now that's a song that's worth breaking equipment over!
I was waiting for Huey to jump in! Too hip to be Square! Lol
GLORIOUS!!!
LOL, I got gotten, too, lol! Happy April First! (And you were right--THAT shit was heavy as a danged black hole in Cyngus X-1!)
McClintock's Slayer/Katrina & the Waves mashup is one to die for
Totally subscribed for the metal Monday's. Lol 🤟
This guy is a genius. I have about 30 of his tracks on my daily playlist.
That's pretty neat! Fun!! I have to get kind of a kick out of how you say something concerning what key they're both in, and I (personally) never really give that issue much thought simply because I play (any song) in any key. I'm just curious, from your perspective, other than the singers' range, why does it (in this case, for example) matter if both songs match?.. I just scoot the root to whatever fits the situation. Mind you this question is from a pretty good guitarist, who doesn't have any formal music training, nor can I read music, but I have learned a lot of tidbits from you and a couple others on here. BTW, I am a huge DT fan and have been for 30+ years... love your videos ❤
That was hilariously great! Thanks Doug!
The end of the guitar solo comes from Living After Midnight - Judas Priest 🤘🏻
I'm digging it.
The mix that I didn't know I needed and loved is Riders on the Storm - Doors Featuring Snoop Dogg. So Good.
Did Bill throw Judas Priest in for the guitar 🎸 solo's?
BTW the new Priest album best in decades!
Yes he did! Living After Midnight solo.
@ericstrauch3215
Someone should suggest brand new Priest album.
One of the best mashups I've heard in ages is Was Staying In The Black AC/DC & Bee Gees
My favorite McClintock mashup is Ratt's Round and Round and Marvin Gaye's Heard it Through the Grapevine...it's incredible!
Bill Mc Clintock on the Daily Doug: that's fame!! If you never browsed through Bill's catalogue, try "Eminence of holy wars and creeping death", this entirely new song is awsome! Then check all Slayer mashups, they've got an extra flavor everytime.
Ahhhh, ya got me : ) Thanks, Doug!
Thanks Doug for introducing me to my new favorite song!
The original Huey Lewis video has the SF 49ers, including Joe Montana and Dwight Clark: ruclips.net/video/5Lz-qrpg79M/видео.html
Hey Doug, been a long time subscriber, first time commenting on your vids. This is actually such a fun vibe!
If you like this kind of stuff you should check out a band called Twelve Foot Ninja, the song "coming for you" shows off their amazing ability to play different musical genres within 1 song.
There's also an album out there called "Fade to Bluegrass" by Iron Horse, where they cover the entire "Fade to Black" in a bluegrass style, it's really great stuff. Keep up the great content Doug, always looking forward to seeing your content!
That just made my Monday!
