  • Our rail journey to the summit of the highest mountain in Wales begins at Llanberis station. As our train climbs towards the 1085 meter summit we pass two steam trains and a diesel train going down. At the top, we get 30 minutes to enjoy refreshments at the station cafe and admire the spectacular panoramic views to the valleys below.
Filmed on 14 May 2019 with a DJI Osmo Pocket camera.

Walked up there as a kid with the school on a school trip. I can confirm this is an absolutely stunning place and quite hard on your legs at least when you're 14 years old.

absolutely stunning footage, thank you for sharing it. I noticed some of the trains on the way down did not appear to have windows you could pull down, in order to film out the windows, which is disappointing. One question I do have is did you use a gimbal to film this or just the camera itself? Many Thanks

Tickets can be purchased on the day subject to availability. However, during school holidays tickets can sell out weeks in advance, and they also get very busy in spells of fine weather. I would suggest looking on their website to see what is available before setting out. snowdonrailway.co.uk/
