I totally agree with you, once on the later versions Ethos suite becomes your one stop shop and is ridiculously easy to use, this is how it always should have been in OTX with Companion but just wasn't and still isn't .
It would have been nice if it was always like this. But things need to mature. It’s like in the older days of home computers, you had to load DOS, put in a floppy disk, and run install.bat. These days just double click and your new program is ready to use. This will be so much easier now, especially for new pilots. But yes, even OpenTX Companion isn’t this easy to use. It will be nice if the model editor makes it to ETHOS Suite.

Hi, good day and thanks for your videos. I wanted to ask you how to do with my T20S radio that when the throttle lever is halfway it alerts me when I'm flying and I can't look at the controls. Thank you so much!!!!
You're welcome Alexandro. I can't see a standard mid beep in ETHOS at the moment. But you could add a A~X logic switch which tests for the throttle at a value of 0%. Then use that logic switch to trigger a special function which outputs a haptic feedback. Then when you're near mid throttle, you will know. This may be able to be refined. So I may make a video on this in the future.

I do basic checks before every flight anyway. If you have any concerns, it's always worth a quick check to put your mind at ease, if nothing else.

No, if the transmitter uses the flex firmware, then that’s what you’ll be using. You won’t see FLEX on the RF page. You can check the firmware used on the System -> Info page. The available firmware versions are EU, FCC, IL, and FLEX. IL doesn’t have 900MHz at all, as it is not allowed in Israel.

thank you for all the great videos they are invaluable.
@@MrD thanks for the reply Darren my tx is showing that it is EU firmware. When using the ethos suite you don't get any options to choose what you want. How do I change it to flex. Or should I just change the firmware on my rx's to EU.
Thanks
To change the type of firmware. You need to download and flash it using the old method. But once it’s updated, it will work fine with ETHOS Suite.
You only need to flash the firmware file. Don’t worry about the flash or SD contents. Also, just use the firmware for the latest version. ruclips.net/video/XkVOgo5UUt4/видео.html
You just need the X18-FLEX.zip file github.com/FrSkyRC/ETHOS-Feedback-Community/releases/tag/1.3.3
🤢 My old windows 7 laptop can't run Ethos Suite. I get a message 64 BIT WINDOWS required , I guess my laptop is an old steam powered 32 bit. 🥵
Wow, I didn’t think there would still be Windows 32bit OS out there. The actual laptop may be able to run 64 bit. It was a limit of the processor. Unfortunately it would take a full reinstallation of Windows to use the 64bit version (need the 64bit installer).
@@MrD I don't think the hackers think 32 bit exists either as my laptop chugs along merrily without virus's and with external USB storage it's grand 😃
