Would have been great if this unit was also a humidifier. Also, the tent exhaust that runs into this unit is the same air the unit blows back into the tent. If you run your tent zipped up like I do, you would need to inject CO2 which should be integrated into this unit as well. Do you happen to know if fan mode utilizes the heat exchanger to transfer heat out of the tent stream into the outdoor vent stream? That would save a ton of money going passive versus using ac to cool while the outdoor temps are below tent max target.
Sometimes I'm glad I grown in a cold basement. Too much heat is never an issue. I actually still run heaters all summer at night time for young plants and seedlings.
Game changer for those of us growing in a mixed climate! We're in MN with hot, humid summers & well, I'm not going to bring up the W (Winter) factor cuz...you know. ACI is so innovative it's hard to come up with new ideas. Mr. K says he would like to see a taller tent, maybe another 10-12" taller ??? Kudos to Chris for keeping us informed.
Only downside with a compressor dehumufifier is the exhaust is the dehumidied air created for you. That air is usually hot air. If griwing hydro thats a negative as the resevoir will get hot quickly
I'm a personal/hobby grower and although would love it, I can't at the moment justify purchasing for a small 4x2 tent. But, using it to dry your harvest is an interesting idea. It seems each individual function operates independently. Maybe if it combined functions in a form factor that allowed for easy duct management, ideally I’d like to see a system that would make a completely automated micro climate like a mini central air that’s heats, cools, circulates and dehumidifies.

All air conditioner are dehumidifier this one just allows you to turn cooling all the way off but you could turn any indoor air conditioner all the way down and bammo it’s a dehumidifier
@@T.H.C.-TheHempConnection That is not how it works in practice. When you have 90% humidity and 90f the a/c does not remove enough humidity to do the job. Its cool. Ill give em that, I dont think its something i want to drop the money on tho. Ill just use a regular air conditioner if needed. Lol
my biggest issue with my portable ac unit i use for my flowering tent. is at night, the rh% goes 70+ due to the condensation build up on the vents going into the tent.
Anyone who gets this or any portable AC should insulate the ducting for better efficiency
need more reviews on it , running set up in a big tent, id love to scoop this for my 10x10 room

🔥🔥🔥🔥
I think the only positive is the round outlet giving the ability to have my ac outside of my tent. I have a cardboard box around my AC unit with a hole cut out and a tube hooked up to the cardboard lol
Cool unit would like to see after 30 day use update cheers
Anyone know the daily running cost for this unit please?
800W at 24hr cooling at my kWh rate of $0.13 is about $2.50 per day. But you’d probably have the ac running at a fraction of that time unless you have like 1000W lights in the tent OR you are cooling the whole lung room as he mentions in this video.
I’m getting it because I need something to dry my plants and it stays 80 in nov and Oct so drying in that temperature 🤒 no good 😌 love ❤️ it price I know it’s going to be expensive
OMG 🤯
Chris can you give us a few more videos on this unit one of them hsould be the ease of setup or not then a review at 6mos and then a year review this would give us a better idea if we would llike to purchese this and is it worth the space and cost!
I really appreciate your suggestions! I will definitely talk about this in future videos as I use it more. Cheers!
Thank you for the video Chris 🤘🏼Woulda been nice if they dropped this unit before the hot summer days. Say will ship out aug 8
Im in the market for a grow tent temp control. I have all AC equipment now and this should work great in my tent..! Winter grows are not that hard for me but summer time I have a hard time with the tent getting to hot. Im definitely going to use that code. Im in a 5X5
Whoaaaa 😮
What about smell if your venting heat outside?
I don’t know why I was thinking I could use that in an 8 x 8. There’s no way still cool man I mean, maybe a 4 x 4 maybe yeah we could work at 4 x 4, right
