    Todd's Maintenance Breakdown Email:
"So i went full macgyver last night, disassembled the entire T7 down the 'boards'.
Very simple, not a single 'trick' i just went slow and it all seems to have worked now that I've returned it to the tent (also installed a new usb uis cable) adding full 69Pro functionality.
-emptied lower tank of t7 after a full vinegar bath (2cups, 20min soak/rinse)
-removed single visible screw, long screwdriver needed on bottom of the unit
-removed 4screws/wheel and beneath each wheel is an additional screw like the first long one, remove these (5 total longer than the wheel caster screws)
-removed the exhaust intake 'door' by gently depressing the sides until free. the entire lower portion is easily detached and cleaned with vinegar and soap/water.
at this point i could remove the board that interfaces with the additional boards, by taking two screws off, disconnecting the two serial cables which correspond with the USBc and rh/temp sensor ports and then sliding out towards the center of the unit. i applied liberal amount of de-oxit, using a heavy-duty paper towel and small electronic plunger to get the papertowel fully inside the usbc port. used toothpick to dislodge any corrosion or buildup from the original spill-over.
final inspection with a microscope and a small can of compressed air + ISO qtips to futher clean the port. i did not apply any ISO directly to any parts, for fear of breaking down any plastic/rubber parts.
all is working well, thanks again for the nudge to tackle it fully.
IMO, you are probably positioned to take on this repair work for ACI and save them a lot of headache, if you have the capacity within your staff to address these faulty units. I know I woulda paid you ~$40 to bring the unit(s) back to life, assuming I could get the lower portion to you economically. just planting that seed, it does not take any technical knowhow other than proper steps and future disregard to warranty claims i guess."

I have three T3 Cloudforge(s) and when feeding the humidifier from outside the tent with the included flex-hose, you sometimes may bump the hose and the top will pop off of the cloudforge. This is probably the reason why they put the clicky click cover that hopefully won't break anytime soon, to keep the top of the humidifier on.

    • @gardensupplyguys
      @gardensupplyguys  3 месяца назад +2

Then it may take the whole humidifier over with it. The top click is solid so we’ll see how easy it breaks away over time and consumer use 👍

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this yet; but the gen 2 VPD settings don't work properly. It fluctuates more so then other settings, like if you wanted a 1.00 vpd it's better to use the auto humidity settings and manually dial it in with the temperature change because it will lock onto the 1.00 better than using the built-in auto vpd setting

I cleaned mine with a toothbrush and I got it to work sort of,but then cuts out still, and dead screen.,so maybe I need to scrape it a little harder. they sent me the new one but I didn't want to throw the old one away. I have had the gen 2 for 7 months. Twice it has dumped water onto the floor. So this issue has not been remedied. The top isn't an issue on mine, it works in either direction. Maybe try a piece of sand paper and lightly sand the inside edge of the top and try a micro adjustment.

My lid on the newest T3 does not have a physical snap when lid goes on and will let you put the lid opening on the sides instead of the back where connections are, or front control panel which can damage internals. This new one definitely puts out less steam than the original one did, as it seems to run a lot more than the older style to maintain same humidity.

    • @gardensupplyguys

It is possible but even with tops off we stared at them and still saw less output. Its puzzling to see this, maybe they are running the same micronizer disc at a lower voltage? Not sure but we gotta keep the tops on the CloudForge units just to ensure no debris falls into the water tank.

Reverse Osmosis is filtered down to zero parts per million (PPM). Basically its pure H20 / Water 💧 yes we use it on refilling and zero residue.

Definitely adding ISO will speed up the process and clean those contacts much more effectively than my redneck with a screwdriver approach 😆

I always take the tank off and flush and wipe each fill. I fill it off the machine, always have after I had 2 float valve issues and flood my lung room I stopped filling on unit. the filter looks great! a better fix would be a stiff toothbrush and some electrical contract cleaner, less risk of bending or scraping the contact to hell

  • @billybudz

14:22 a safer alternative would be to spray some Deoxit contact cleaner in the ports. I mean that's what experienced repair technicians would do...Consider!💯✌️🦚

Please see our description. We added this info as the full go through as I mentioned in the video working with Todd. Not everyone is a true tech or knows de-oxit so we try to give simple understandable suggestions of how to easily remove corrosion with an abrasive approach for folks less tech savy.
Much appreciate the comment and yes folks use de-oxit and an abrasive to do the best cleanup on those leads 💯🤓🫵
