I miss old Fox back when Mike Joy was optimistic and enjoyed working for Fox. He’s just finishing a contract.

In all fairness, Fox has become a joke

@@therobbinsnestAutosport in all honesty I see him finishing his career with TNT and having Adam Alexander be the Fox guy. I don’t think Mike wants to work there anymore but is obligated to contractually.

Oh I wouldn't doubt it. I mean you can just look at the truck coverage from Fox and tell how much they don't care about their product anymore. Jamie Little and Michael Waltrip are two of the worst commentators of our time, yet Fox doubles down on them. Jamie is an awesome pit reporter, terrible with play by play. Clint Bowyer is terrible as well, typically drunk during the broadcasts, yet they continue to keep him. It's just sad to see what the business overall has become

Ashton Lewis Jr. was a solid hand for that underfunded family team

Yeah and I always found it interesting that he ran better with his underfunded family team than he did for Rensi when he took over the #25. Ed Rensi is a McDonald's magnate, so he was never short on funding.

@@therobbinsnestAutosport Rensi as a whole actually wasn’t that good outside of 2002-2003 with the Bobby Jr./Harold Holley combo. Even Bobby Jr. himself didn’t do great in his second stint with the team so I don’t blame Ashton

@@mitchcolburn1216 The Hamilton and Harold Holley combo was magic, never should have been messed with...even if Bobby Jr was being a complete you know what. I don't know if it was ever officially made public, but I think I remember hearing that being the reason he was fired.

@@therobbinsnestAutosport Bobby ran off to PPI thinking he was going to be top dog off the bat. But with Ashton Lewis, think about Casey Atwood's interview with Dale Jr. He said he turned down RCR to stay with Brewco because those were his late model guys so he felt more comfortable with those guys.

@@TravisMSimpson that's a good point. He went from running cars his dad owned with his brother as crew chief to Ed's team. Plus I'm fairly certain Harold went with Bobby Jr to PPI if memory serves
