Several online forums talk about the yellow dot on the driveshaft being placed in line with a similar factory dot on the pinion flange. Did you see dots on both? Is this something you’ve heard about? Thanks.
We did not take note of any markings on the new driveshaft but its entirely possible we missed it. Nothing was noted in the instructions as another commenter already mentioned.
No need to get the engine tuned again. Just drops weight from the driveline which reduces parasitic loss. Allows you to put more of your power directly to the ground which is the goal!
We installed this according the instructions as well as the video posted by American Muscle. Its possible that other aftermarket driveshafts have the boot in the rear but we are fairly confident we got this one right... you did get me to double check though. lol
Sorry to hear about your issue. We have not experienced that with our new driveshaft. recheck your install and also make sure you can see where the manufacturer balanced the driveshaft with a small plate welded on one end
Thanks for asking! We have a Merch store with redbubble.com. You can find it and all our other links here>>> linktr.ee/morrismartinracing?fbclid=PAAaZO2HEVGZ0PYXpxqaTCslOsTWRJGSq-E7EGaR6RkP5__2s-NywdF_e-LMo_aem_th_AZxTYYit1JBJ2EV_4KCnIR5xvmnxhkZf6TvAKOgKkHyXth1r1omlrdnpWbmF15r477o
It’s entirely possible but I do not see anything noting which side the adjustable nut should be on in the manufacturers instructions. I do see that American muscle made a video where they had it installed the other way but again nothing stating it had to be oriented that way. We were able to center the body on the differential with its current orientation so I think it’s ok both ways. If you have any documentation showing me I’m a ding-ding please share a link.
@@morrismartinracing I can't see how it would make any difference. I think it is backwards but only because if oriented the other way, it would be easier to adjust it with the nut lower.
Really hard to say at this point; already have a lightweight flywheel installed which made a big change to how the car free revved. We still like it as an upgrade over the heavy, complicated two-piece driveshaft.
We only trailer this car to events so there has been very little mileage on the car since install but no vibration that we have noticed at events so far!
Hi, just asking, does that driveshaft also work with the Mustang GT's automatic transmission?
Cute music
Hahahah that start was perfect

I just bought one no yellow on mine and nothing in the instructions

Would there be any reason at all you would need to retune / get a new tune after installing an aftermarket driveshaft?

I think the driveshaft boot was installed backwards the boot goes towards the rear

@@morrismartinracing oh ok I wasn't trying to throw any shade just thought I'd point it out.im glad it was installed correctly.
I have the same driveshaft and experienced major rubbing on the chassis
Woah, any particular spot? We haven’t had that issue yet.
@@morrismartinracing near the end of it might have to adjust the pinion angle seems to sit too high and scrapes on bumps
Samae issue here! At 220 km/h I do get vibrations from the alu drive shaft!
Hi,i have the same driveshaft, but a lot of vibration...possible solution?

Found it
I could be wrong but your panhard bar is installed backwards.

its fine either way I think, being on the drivers side just makes accessing the adjustment easier imo.
Any changes in performance?

Yes I have a one piece for over 3 years now and there a noticeable difference
@@joemartin8651what are the differences you notice? And do you experience vibration and sound most people say come with aluminum driveshafts?
Did you tork the two cap bolts
Sorry, which bolts are you asking about? We torqued all of the bolts we were able to get a torque wrench on.
@@morrismartinracingwhat’s the torque spec?
