Thanks Lisa! I was reorganizing my Halloween cabinet that stays up year round and dusting yesterday and I'm still in love with the doll you made. She/they are displayed front and center everyday. If you ever want to do another swap just holler.
Girl my memory is so bad, can you send me a photo of the doll I lost all my photos of my creations and I kind of remember making a doll but I don't want to take credit for someone else's creations @@ResinBelle
@@lisafriloux1713 my bad girl, different Lisa lol. Ours was the flowish journal swap. I pulled it out this week to use some of the awesome bits for some Halloween crafting. Got my wires crossed lol.
These are awesome, I'm in the process of making Halloween pails out of paper mache and paper clay, I think when I am done I will try casting paper mache you have inspired me
Pretty close to the originals! During the war brass was taken for the war effort. The original molds were buried for 60 years. The antique molds are still used today.
At the beginning when you say to use clay to create a rim around the middle, is that the same clay you used to sculpt the pumpkin? Also, do you remove that rim before applying the second half of the mold? I really want to try this to make a bunch of pumpkin lanterns to put in my Halloween tree. 🎃
Love the vid! I've been absolutely obsessed with vintage paper mache halloween pails and was wanting to make my own so this is super helpful!! A question: do you wait for the clay sculpture to dry before pouring the plaster over it? Just wondering since the clay looked kinda floppy when you removed it from the mold.
The clay is Plastalina clay. It does not dry. It's an oil based clay used for modeling. It stays the same from opening of package to final sculpt and you just reuse the same clay to make new sculpts.
I have a few vintage pumpkins and cats I’d love to cast but I’m afraid to damage them! These r so precious I love them.
This is fantastic! I would love to attend your online class when its ready!!
Absolutely the best Halloween craft video I've watched so far. Love this so much!!!
Needs a night time video with glowing lights inside. Tyfs
For sure, more footage coming this weekend on my other channel @CreepSoftlyStudio
These look amazing! I've been wanting to make something similar for awhile, but I wasn't sure how to cast the paper mache. Now I know. Thanks!
Turned out fabulous!
OMG! I love these Girl you out did yourself!

Thanks, I had a hard time finding info about all the steps so I figured I would share what I figured out.
Fantastic!
Turned out really nice❤
This was interesting to watch and the results were beautiful. I don't think it would come out so nicely if I tried it though.
niceeeeeeee! The creativity here is off the charts, literally.
LOV your talent!! May I ask...which music is this? Tittle? Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's called A Snowflakes Tale by Howard Harper-Barnes from Epidemic Sound

It's a process but a neat one!
Wow those are sooo cool. They remind me from when I was a kid for some reason. How did you make the paper mache paste?
There are some tutorials on RUclips but mostly a mixture of flour, glue, drywall compound, green insulation, and water.
How do you make your molds?
Wondering that myself...
How did you make the plaster mold?

Yes same clay, and yes remove and smooth sides before doing the other half
@@ResinBelle Thank you! I appreciate the help.
What kind of clay is it?
@@karenhettenbaugh2109 Plastalina. I was able to find some at Wal-mart by the brand Sargent.
❤️ watching again to figure out how to make a mold.
I've tried 3 times, and it kinda failed but I still can't wrap my mind around the mold and how to make the 2 pieces perfect with that opening
Where did you get your theme music from Resin Belle? Love it!
@@neotrinity3155 I found it on Epidemic Sound. I'd have to look up the name of it.
@@ResinBelle thanks! I love its spooky sound!
