She knows...(1)..the songs and (2)...the dance moves. She fits right in! (6:37) Zuni's...begin to join the dance. They know the song...they know the dance steps. Hopi/Zuni dance...inter-tribal dance.
That's cuz it's not an actual hopi dance group. Think they said that cuz they did their type of Buffalo dance. But your post cracked me up.. hilarious. 🤣😂
Every time I watch this I see something new. So many lessons in this!! I would love to meet the woman in the green/teal top that runs out and starts dancing. She teaches “let’s do this together!” A rare trait. And then when other dancers join in it’s a lesson that we are in this together so when in danger you have more support. Absolutely beautiful dancing and amazing people!! Much respect.
I agree on the sunsets! I’m from Florida and helped my daughter move to California 3 years ago and saw a couple amazing sunsets and an awesome lightning storm in El Paso, I live in the lightning capital but never saw lightning crack the sky like cracked glass.
My aunty from Santa Clara says all the dancers were out there with the thunder and lightning beings and were dancing with them. That's why they were protected. They all danced along side them.
Dang I missed the best part. I was stuck at home. Glad you posted this, it was a good fair weekend. Hopefully someone got the Saturday parade. That was so fun, watching people run for shelter. It was awesome to see some dance groups finishing strong in that rain. Love it.
Yes. Most of us 'non-Indians' live in a state of ignorance and fear. Our science has learned much about the physical universe, and our belief-based religions provide a false sense of security, but we know nothing about the Powers that exist beyond our understanding. We don't understand how wind, lightning, thunder and rain are not to be feared, but respected as life-giving blessings. We fail to understand that to live in harmony and respect we become one with Nature and hence there is no danger, no fear. This country and this world is in desperate need of this wisdom, yet I worry that so much is being lost. *_LIVE IN HARMONY, WALK IN BEAUTY!_*
If you go to the settings on the video and slow it down right before the Lightning strikes the two male dancers and two female dancers are in perfect step harmony! I slowed it down to try to see the Lightning better but couldn't because the camera angle moves but I watched everything anyway during that time period. It was pretty cool because they just come out and start really get going and then that happens!
