Germany did not exist, thanks to the Greco-Roman culture Germany exists
proud to be germanic.
@Oskar Bibo Didnt help tho, did it? 2000 years later and the Germanic tribes grew into some of the greatest nations of the planet. They dominate the fields of science, literature and engineering. May I remind you that it was a Germanic man that made it possible for mankind to land on the moon. What did the hunns do? They rode through the steppes, murdered people and then disappeared into the depths of history.
At least ancient Rome left the world its amazing architecture and culture behind...the hunns left nothing, their culture was so uninspiring they removed themselves form the face of earth and accepted their insignificance.
@@christophsagert2684turkey has army more powerful than germany, and The turks who are descendants of huns built empires bigger than germans could ever Hope, and also contributed a Lot to science
Maledicte parricida, Roma educavi et enutrivi te. Tremendous erunt Mihi vindicta, sicut historia id ostendit. Accursed traitor, Rome has educated and fed you. Revenge will be tremendous, as history shows.
Tremenda erit Mea vindicta
Well, you shouldn't try to conquer other people
*Rome gets sacked*
Are we talking about the same Rome that kidnapped Arminius and his brother as children to use as political leverage? The same Rome that threatened to murder those children if the Cherusci resisted? This generosity was political calculation, not kindness, they should be formed into subjects, which also worked for the traitor Flavius. And Rome and treason, how many emperors were cowardly murdered again?
@@Raubabbau Of course, Rome also made mistakes and political calculations. But after the conquest, Rome also sought to respect the subjugated peoples and make them citizens of the empire. If they succeeded, we would all speak Latin now and Europe would be a superpower. However, everything you do or use comes from Them. I hope that in a parallel universe Rome has conquered all of Europe and beyond. Or maybe sooner or later the Eternal City will return.
I'm really wanting for season 2
Translation at 2:28 is incorrect.
The correct translation is
Allfather Wotan has seen whats coming.
Literal Translation would be
The father of gods Wotan, has seen what is coming.
como se llama la serie no la puedo encontrar alguien me puede ayudar

Right..?
The greatest forgery ever made in a movie, Nazi propaganda against Roman villains with Hollywood Teutons ... Arminius was a Roman officer, one of the greatest traitors in history, along with Judas ... I want to see if she have the courage to do the second series, the revenge of Rome ... and the death of Arminius.
It really rustled your jimmies now didn't it, little man?
Roman fanboy crying a river.
Wotan id est furor!
He was taken by the Romans as a child lmao. He did the right thing by uniting his people to stand up and fight

You don't Remember when they sacked Rome? Multiple times? And Rome collapsed? And they got paid back in their own blood
Quality ambush 👌

liked his face mask.
Nah, he was just a traitor who got proper payback from rome
Huh so his own people should mean nothing to him? Fighting for Rome would make him a traitor
NOW PARTHIANS
Are they speaking an old germanic language?
Nope. Latin and standard German.
@@followyourideas so it is not an accurate language actually
@@ThePunisherAgent47 nobody really knows how proto-germanic sounded. Latin on the other hand left a lot of documents so we know pretty accurately how it sounded.
@@ThePunisherAgent47 even latin is not accurated.
They used latin church, similar and easier from that.
Glory to Rome.
Germanicus!!
WOW
It is 2021 and we all will need more than one Arminius to destroy all of Rome.
Arminius don' t destroy ROME ,because ROME is still alive, the alphabet , the Roman right ,the buildings..the name of several mounts ,August was the first Emperor ,July was dedicated to Gaio Julio Cesar,ROME was the civilitation where is born the western society..the barbarian was tribes .

They want to impose this event as the end of the Roman Empire. It really wasn't like that, in fact there were huge reprisals by the Roman Empire and massacres of its Germanic colonists, however Germania was never the main target for the Romans, Germania was more like a "Vietnam" apart from the internal wars and divisions that existed in the Roman Empire itself.

The Romans never conquered the German lands.
They used german cavalry to take Gaul. The tribal rivalry in Julius Caesars time, pre civil war, nixed a greater Gaul. Gads, you really get an idea how ruthless war was then......in all cultures. Every civilization carries the seeds of its own destruction someone wrote. Our fate seems to be like Rome. The oligarchy squabbling.
They would enter in Germania at Will. It was Roma backyard. Only was not really profitable to conquer all Germany vs keeping It disengaged and at bay
who want to conquer a shit frozen area full of forests and naked barbarians.... not the Romans for sure...
@@suicidecommam9668 omg, is so funny

Yes they might of gotten victory in 9 A.D cause Varus was a useless incompetent General who led 3 Legions to there deaths and be decimated and destroyed in the ambush where his Legions were cut off from fighting formation and had to fight in column formation and to be attacked from the front and the back
which is known to be called the Varus Disaster which Struck Rome major mental and physical blow which ended the conquest of Germany and which led Rome to abandon its mission to suppress and subjugate the Germanic Tribes and the Romans didn't want to suffer the same mistake again but if rome would've won Germania would've been completely different and roman colonization and a bigger frontier of roman expansion
I mean 3 entire Roman Legions decimated that's a lot of men killed and in only a matter of Hours and all the way from home only to be killed off in the forest and fighting in column formation and being struck from the back and front I bet the screams of the wounded we're terrible.
But The Germanic Tribes might've won for a little while but it really didn't make them conquers They only Secured Romes Strength and might cause Germanicus arrives serveral months or years later to restore Honor to Rome and Avenge the 3 legions and bring death and destruction to retaliate for their transgressions against Rome and bring the scum to hell
È proprio ad arminio che hitler si è ispirato .ma ricordate ,ic sunt leones
Too bad for the Germans beyond the Rhine.
Germany wouldn't exist if it wasn't for them. The Romans would have turned it into France 2.0.
