Thanks a bunch. I'm a senior lady and your video gave me the confidence to take my poor Roomba apart for cleaning. So easy. All those felt washers that came out weren't washers after all. Good grief. No wonder the poor thing was acting anemic.

Bought my roomba 650 for 60usd....with one virtual wall and docking station, we love it! I am for sure getting another one lol. Also aside from the cutter their should be a special tool in the package, it looks like a ring with teeth. It's to clean the rotating brush. Just place the brush in the ring, one firm pull and all the hair will be off it.

Thanks for your great video! We have a central vacuum, however the iRobot does the job under the beds, etc. Since we went to all ceramic and hardwood floors, we don’t use the central vacuum almost not at all. The iRobot does everything. When I change the furnace filter I find that even after 10 weeks there’s almost nothing there (ranch home built in 2003). Thanks for your effort and time!

Bro blow it all out with the leaf blower . Take it apart and hit it all with the blower. That what I do I have the same one for 7 years. Love that thing.

A very useful video, plus I was able to tell what issues had my roomba 650 to charge, was due to the external brush. It was too large and was passing by the charging sensor, therefore I just cut a little to ensure was not covering it, however the best would be bending the brushes a little to avoid them touching the sensor -I figured out with that after cutting the edges of the brushes-

You can wash the filter with dish soap

  • @karenboyd6293

You keep comparing this to an upright vaccuum. I don't get why people prefer them. They are not best for hard surface floors. They are not best for a variety of tasks like under furniture, close to furniture, etc, etc. For those of you that want to wash or rinse the filter-- We got our first Roomba 12 years ago. In those days I washed the filters. In those days they also were not very durable with heavy use so I upgrades several times and got higher effiency filters. I suspect that those could be damage by rinsing or washing.

@@daltonschannel8405 There are screws in the dust tray, so i wouldn't clean it with water and soap. But it not a bad idea to clean with wet wipes.

I'll be shooting another (better) video shortly on the 650. It's a beast, the Hummer of the robotic vacuums.
