Police in riot gear during 'Million Mask March'

Police Support Unit (PSU) and Territorial Support Group (TSG) officers from the Met Police, along with City of London Police TSG, in full public order gear deal with some disorder during the annual 'Million Mask March' event that took place in London 5th November. The footage shows numerous officers outside the Palace of Westminster as several arrests were made for various offences. Missiles and fireworks were launched towards the police resulting in 8 officers injured.

It’s mostly physiological. If protesters see police with all their armour and weapons it will intimidate the crowds which would increase the likelihood of violence. It’s about de escalation.
With that being said they are wearing very good armour but it’s well disguised.

The usual 'Rag Tag and Bobtails'. I thought it was now illegal to wear face coverings at demonstratons. I think both sides have now had plenty of opportunity to voice their opinions what is now required is a total ban on demonstrations for the next three months. Please don't give me all the crap of freedom of speech, 90% of those demonstrating couldn't point their finger at Gaza on a map.
