@ mate, you see a flipping bm or Audi coming at you and your instant thought is is he a cop first. The only thing we don’t seem to use in the uk is mercs as unmarked cars. Usually you can tell a cop car from the style of driving.
Thanks a lot, that was really interesting! I lived in London 1965-67, and of course there were only Fords, Vauxhalls, Wolseleys, Jaguars, and perhaps one or two others. Its changed since then.
It’s only like this in London though, elsewhere nearly all the emergency response vehicles are marked, as they should be. The only people taking an emergency vehicle home should be Police dog handlers, on call emergency responders should be in a marked pool car, not each having their own high end luxury car that’s had to be fitted up. These vehicles are like flats for politicians, every time a new person is elected as an MP, they all get a flat in London to keep after the tax payer has furnished, decorated & repaired it of course.
@@WhiskeyGulf71I have an unmarked car, for my role in the ambulance service. I own and pay for the car, just like any other car. I don’t take a marked car home for two reasons, I don’t live in London - so driving a London ambulance car to rural Surrey is a waste of money. Secondly, my car is my car. I go to Tesco, drop the kids off a school etc in the car. Doing that in fully marked ambulance car looks awful for public perception. Imagine me turning up to Tesco on a Tuesday afternoon, in a fully marked up London ambulance car (not in London) not in uniform, doing the weekly shop and then putting said weekly shop in to the car. Awful. This is why it’s unmarked. So I can still use MY car as a daily run around, but also be able to respond as needed.
Okay what the hell is there a defender as an undercover unit 😂😂😂 Edit 1: AND EVEN A TESLA?!!!!! AS FAR AS I KNOW, THIS IS THE FIRST TIME ME SEEING A TESLA BEING A POLICE VEHICLE 💀
the original police siren & sound combo of UK's police is way better than the current U.S. police & law enforcement derived siren & sound combo . . . the U.S. siren & sound combo is a tad too whinny for a police siren, not very convincing either . . . speaking of unmarked police & emergency vehicles UK has the best unmarked cars by far . . . unmarked police cars in U.S. are made up of very specific model & are of very much American make . . . no Mercedes Benz or TOYOTA . . .
Probably the best unmarked compilation I've ever seen. Great video!
The variety of unmarked emergency vehicles in London is so cool. Nice compilation!
The most random compilation of cars, from a Tesla to a bloody Defender 😂
That's why it's so hard to spot unmarked cars in Europe and especially in UK. If it was US unmarked car would be either Charger, Explorer or Tahoe

First car - I love a Whelen Alpha. Very uncommon to see them on newer vehicles these days!

6:26 definitely wasn't expecting a burgundy Rav4
That’s because it’s a fire officer.
‘Slick Tops’. Love that name. So cool 😎
The UK for my opinion has the best unmarked cars better than the US 😂😂😂😂😂😂
In many States definitely but not in all :)

Uk are so ugly
1:04 I LOVE this defender copper car.
This is why London has ULEZ ! It’s needed to finance all of these vehicles.
Ambulance and fire staff pay for their own vehicles
2:38 Bro at the back really pointed at us and said "Shhhh!"
Brilliant compilation. 5:25 What do you think the Mercedes van is used for?
Not Police.
Either surveillance or as a mass armed response vehicle.
@@zylos9016 thank you

I do worry or wonder sometimes if any of this lot, or any other unmarked emergency vehicle is fake or not
BMW is a fire chief some motor😮
Never seen a defender police car first for me
Not police, it’s a fire officers company/work car
Was that a Tesla Slick Top?
Voor wie of wat moet alles in het verkeer wijken? Flauwekul.
Where are they rushing to i wonder 😂
They are IOPC responding to a report that a BTP officer posted the Leia Gold Bikini photo to the AFO group chat
