Obviously chapeau to Murtanio, but this can give you the idea of how much margin there is still.
Well you wouldn't want to be a "scaredy-cat" but his riding has little to do with testosterone producing steel testicles. It's more to do with riding skills, correct technique, course memory after hundreds of laps and confidence from all of the above. It also has a lot to do with self control to stay within the boundaries of his and the bike's ability. The bike is clearly well maintained and properly serviced, fitted with the best tyres, hydraulic fluids and the engine is well tuned. To ride Nurburgring by your balls and not your head is inviting death.
Nothing to do with the size of testicles. If it was only testosterone and adrenaline he would be dead very quickly. It has everything to do with practice, acquired skills, course knowledge, bike preparation, tyre selection and riding at 9/10ths on a tourist day. No stupid risks, knowing his and his machines limits and staying within them plus a little left over for mistakes and unpredicatability of other drivers. Did you notice that most of the time he was short shifting 500 rpm before the redline. Remember, this is 35 seconds short of the unofficial Bridge to Gantry record set by a rider on an R1. The official Bridge to Bridge road bike record is held by Helmut Dahne on a Honda RC30 750 cc V4 in 1993. It is estimated that 30 seconds should be added to the BTG time to give an equivalent full course time of 7 min 40 seconds. This makes this lap by Murtanio 8 min 15 seconds for the full course. Helmut Dahne was a German roadrace champion and world class racer specialising in production racing. Given that the bikes of the early 90's had about half the power of current bikes, a current racer on a top production bike could be expected to lap in about 7 min 20 for the full course and 6 min 50 for BTG. Murtanio is a quick road bike rider but compared to top production or Isle Of Man racers, he would be well down the field.See his video where another rider eats him. It's called "You think you are fast then this happens"

You can notice it clearly at those corners, when he leans fully speedo is at 230 then as he lean up again, ever though he is accelerating it drop to around 220 as he goes up on the middle of the tire again. You can also hear it in the RPM. Shoots up when ever he leans. Still though.. To even get the idea to LEAN OFF the bike at 200+ is insane and I only hope I will be able to do it someday.

Nope that's because he is riding a curve in highspeed. The radius on the side of the tyre is smaller compared to the middle. Im speaking of the radius to the axle, that means the engine revs higher. :)
I usually am critical of youtube comments, since a lot of people don't know what they're talking about. But in this case, every praise this man gets is truly worthy. Experience is the main reason of why I think he's as good as the people say he is. Going 80mph on a straight line is already exhausting, but this guy kept it fast and collected, throughout the entire course, whether it be straights or curves. He also respects the track and drivers, wherein he doesn't *FORCE* the need to overtake a vehicle, rather he practices the proper etiquette required in riding (which is what's most lacking in a lot of motorcycle riders). He handles the bike as if he was moving is own limbs, the amount of control and finesse this guy has is way above your decent driver. What squids don't know is, is that speed is not determining factor whether you are good at riding or not, since speed is for a large part, controlled by your bike, what determines your performance, is the way you control your bike. Just want to point out, that in those twisties and curves, it's not as easy as this guy makes it seem. You're driving a heavy bike (compared to lower cc's), and you drive that curve, first instinct of yours is "damn I'm going to fall, better hit the break", and that instinct of yours will cause you to land down on dirt/pavement. Truly, just a tiny bit of hesitation on those parts will cause your downfall, and it takes experience and skill to hit those, just like this dude.

Still possible to use someone's name and say it's you. Can't really tell unless you do a RUclips live video of your trophies. At least come up with a believable lie.
Actually, this is the definition of SKILLS. Amazing.
No way he did that at 5:16 !
Brought it in - in the wet and laid it over like a baby in a cradle.
Mental AF
you know you've got confidence with a bike when you're taking it round the karussell
Makes you horny
ohmygolygosh On the concrete, no less.
With 230 Km/h into the corner!!! Man thats insane! What a legend!
This analog speedo is great - like in an old Ferrari...
@ 2:53...on the side of the tire that fast for that long got my hairs raised up! Badass brotha, stay on two wheels and Godspeed to your journey
He's a semi pro or a pro and knows the track extremely well
But imagine the dude in the ferrari getting pasted by a bike as worth as much as the set of rims of the ferrari amazing riding
Patricia Richardson here we go again...skills vs money bla bla bla...
@@hazarddavid6987 I love to see how these rich people get smoked by skill. U cant buy skill and thats the best about racing😍
Guys in their cars were not even trying...
@@JuanRamirez-bq3iw that Porsche sure as hell was trying an then he gave up.. maybe his gf threw up or something :D
@@FreZzaaa haha tell me you're joking
Excellent. Major skills and I love the Isle of Mann wrist band on the master cylinder.
R6 belongs on a track with a rider who knows what to do.
Nice.
So glad to see this was on the "track" as is rare these days. An absolutely brilliant ride at the NURBURGRING mate! Thumbs up 👍👍👍
One of the most fantastic things I've ever seen. Truly a talent.
3:43 massive wheel spin
Nope that's because he is riding a curve in highspeed.
The radius on the side of the tyre is smaller compared to the middle.
Im speaking of the radius to the axle, that means the engine revs higher. :)
Absolutely phenomenal ride my friend!! Shows what a 600 is capable of with the right pilot on board! Brilliant.
4:40 im sweating. Damn youre a real good driver
Riding skils :) perfect man
That’s a very well sorted and stable R6 absolutely no movement in the carousel. Brilliant riding👍😃
Once you hit 140 mph., sh*t gets ''real'', especially at night...
Great Vid. of some bad-azz driving! - 👍
If u mean the vid.... it's KM/H
Das gleiche in Oscherleben, Most u. Hockenheim... Die R6 ist einfach einfacher zu fahren... Tolles Video!
This video could be re-titles “Hungry R6 has supercars for breakfast”! The bike sounds amazing, you’ve got some serious skills man and some large cojones!!!
Put a driver in the supercars who knows the track with good skill and pushing hard for you see your breakfast
Gees man, something else, this biker man comes from a long lineage of gladiators, its also where steel ball bearings are made same family
We need Murtanio merch!
I am going to when I have some nice ideas :)
Wow. This was great. Excellent skills and practice on this track in display here. A joy to watch.
Geile Runde!!!! RESPEKT!!!!
I never tire of watching this video. The only thing I'm not keen on is that setting sun!!
This biker is like pack-man eating Ferraris. Awesome 👏!
This guy is certifiably insane, and very quick. Maxiumum respect.
Mad how I remember this track from gran turismo 😂
Isle of Man wrist band in the master cylinder is a nice touch. Phenomenal riding.
I caught myself tilting my head...
Magnificent!! Very smooth and fast. You obviously know the track very well and smashed every curve. Beautiful. Like poetry in motion. Respect. Every street Rossi should watch this video and realise they ain't shit on a bike.
Look like you been working out.👍
4:41 Holy!
PLUS! Very impressive brake control during high speed entry into corners
Holy shit....homeboy can ride.
This guy is brilliant.... He must be local or been on the Norschleiffe many a time because he doesn't falter anywhere.... Amazing stuff.... 👍
*Dang yall getting down*
down lowww
Night Rider u too punk
Love seeing the revs go up as he leans over onto the edge of the tyre, guys got huge bollocks keeping it singing like a TT rider on a 600.
I love this shit this is what I live for
Such smooth riding - beautiful balance, great brake-throttle transitions and steering. Would love to see this rider on an R1, H2R etc...
Would probably not be as entertaining since he is very used to his R6 it seems
@@Joel_Nilsson I think you're right. However it could be "entertaining" in a more destructive way. It's a big jump from an R6 to R1/H2R etc. A mate of mine - an excellent and experienced rider on his Gixxer 6 borrowed an R1 years ago. He wasn't expecting the throttle on character and lost it on the 3rd corner giving it a bit of a squirt - surprising all of us present, and especially him! Fortunately no injuries other than to his ego. Cheers - Dave
Damn what skill and what a driver! Salute brother! simply AMAZING!!!!!!
What a rider, but just concerned why would you risk with unknown drivers on track. One wrong move by a moron is enough.
I note the Isle of Man crest on the red band around the GoPro! If you can master the lines of a 61km public road circuit then I would suggest it would be a distinct advantage learning a 21km racing surface track!
