I don't think I've ever been the first commenter on a youtube video....but anyway, the idea that NASA would refuse to included experiments and instruments designed to actually test for life (as did the Viking landers) for fear that they would not find it, is so discouraging. From the conversation it sounds like the possibility of 'extant' life on Mars is now generally regarded as minimal.
