Great cover really sounds amazing, i have the VL3X and sold my RC 300 thinking it would be ok to use the looper in the VL3X but i made a mistake so am looking for another one now.
The Working Musician The looper itself is actually very good. However you can only use loop A and B together or loop A and C never all three together like an RC 300. It’s got a great undo button and a lot faster than the RC when it comes to that. But the layout of a RC just seems better. As a voice and guitar processor it’s absolute killer. I love it. But there is still a lot to be said for a stand alone looper. One thing it does do that I enjoy is the fact that whatever the first loop is doesn’t mean the rest have to be the same length. I just wish we could use all three at once. Otherwise a great products. I may just need to work with it a bit more. But I’m just about to add a HPD20 to my setup.
That's the very reason I've often thought of moving to the RC300. I've used the VL3X for a year or so now and I get pretty frustrated at times that you can't use 3 loops at once. Would be a great bit of kit if it did. The other functions such as the harmoniser and effects automation with backing tracks are a real plus point.
The Working Musician Yeah I couldn’t agree more. I use my electric and my acoustic through it and they sound amazing straight into a PA system. But you so right. I use to own a RC and sold it cause I thought I would manage well with the VLX but I have been a bit disappointed in that way. I guess it’s the old story an all in one unit rarely does exist. But vocals and harmonies and guitar effects are great. Definitely would not sell mine. But will add another RC 300. More cash outlay 😝
Haha isn't that always the way! You think you have it all bought then something else comes up that you need. Best of luck with it. I'll look forward to hearing you results.
Great use of this gear Stephan!!!!!!

Hi Wallace, what do you find wrong with the VL3X looper?
