      I would imagine cosmic Charlie pollen can cross pollinate dragon fruits it's not related to? I was in a position where all I had available was the pollen from Charlie and another that could not self pollinate and the pollen from each worked out.

    Great video. When you get a chance, can you post a spreadsheet of varieties that can not be used to pollinate each other? Or maybe color code your self fertile/cross pollinate list? For example, purple haze, physical graphiti, delight, dark star, cosmic charlie would be all highlighted red which mean they are from the same orgin and their pollens can not be used for cross pollination. Thanks.

    I liked this video, somehow it felt more like your old format videos which were the best! A little more “natural”, educational and friendly. It’s always nice to see you. At the same time, the old format videos were the best! (In my opinion)

    • @GraftingDragonFruit
      @GraftingDragonFruit  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes, once I harvest all the fruits they will get fertilizer but it will be all purpose fertilizer or earth worm castings until spring comes again. That’s when I’ll switch back to blooming fertilizer. I use Dr earth brand.

    Hi just have a quickquestion. I have been noticing that a lot of the websites that carry Dragonfruit plants and cuttings are all out of stock . Dont know if it has a problem in the industry rightnow. Can you shed some light on this please.

    • @GraftingDragonFruit
      @GraftingDragonFruit  2 месяца назад +1

      Dragonfruits grow very slow and only put out a certain amount of new growth each season. A lot of growers don’t like to over prune their plants to sell cuttings so it’s always pretty limited everytime a plant is ready to take cuttings. This is what the supply is always so low. Growers also like to keep their branches and not cut them for sale so they can get more fruit.

    Hey Richard love your videos 🤗 was wondering if anyone had a running record of like a family chart of Dragon Fruit. I’ve heard yourself and Edgar touch base on a few hybrids and their parents but would be super awesome if there was more information or a video!

      Dragonfruit is usually ready to harvest after 40-45 days. Some varieties can take longer but just make sure to check your fruit for signs of ready for harvest. Once the fruit turns red wait another 4-5 days for it to get plump and round. Also if it wiggles on the branch loosely it’s another sign it’s ready.
