If you use imperial units for F-35 and metric units for Su-57, no one will be able to tell which one is better, avoiding all flaming in the comments (joke).
It's literally faster and more manoeuvrable, and the f-35 lacks fox 2 missiles, so the f-35s only chance at winning is using the superior stealth, that's it's only strength.
@@justsomeguywithoutashirt7535 the F-35 has far superior stealth, avionics, radar, sensors, data fusion, electronic warfare, and networking than the Su-57. The SU-57 will definitely win a close combat dog fight or any other scenario. Its front view is very intimidating, such as in the Top Gun 2 movie. Its safe to say that its maneuverability cant be beaten by any other jet out there but that is all for the capabilities of the pilot flying it.
It wouldn't win in a close combat dog fight, at least not very easily like you are saying. F-35 has 360 degree IRST, factor in that the newer aim-9x blocks are just as good if not better than the R-73 you get a merge that would likely end in both pilots dying or one pilot getting lucky. The dog fight is not done with guns, it's done with high off boresight fox-2's that do all the maneuvering. It's not even worth mentioning though, because the Su-57 is terrible beyond visual range, it's "stealth" is not stealth, it's a 4.5 gen with some radar absorbent material. If your somehow in a dog fight with a Su-57, a lot of things went wrong. Just to list some: Somehow your AWACs failed to warn you about a Su-57 engaging you, which is almost impossible. Somehow your wingman didn't detect the Su-57 either. Somehow you failed to lock the Su-57 after realizing it was closing in. And finally, ironically somehow you even saw a Su-57 since there's only about 10 of them flying in the world, 9 of which are busy doing air show tricks.
@@skull1161Non I don't think the F35 can outmaneuvered the Su57. The vectorial trust is a huge technology but not enough in front of a real stealth aircraft like the F35.

It is also worth noting that the su57 is more stealth than the F35 and F22, and it is also faster and has better maneuverability. Stop listening to American propaganda and be real
F35 vs Su57 isn't really a good comparison. One's meant for BVR and networking, while the other is meant for Air Superiority. A better comparison between to nations would be the F22 and the Su57; both of which were designed for Air Superiority
@@roe151 Nope. I'm saying F-35 or F-22 can not sneak up onto SU-57 as they can with all other planes. SU-57 will detect them before they enter BVR attack range of their respective long range A/A rockets regardless of angle of their approach as it has radars on the wings screening flanks of the aircraft as well. It uses L- band for LR detection I believe, it's not weapons grade detection but it alerts SU-57 that stealth plane is there. so he can alter course and engage it, switching to front X-band radar and use its longer reach perspective long range hypersonic rockets which not even F-22 can not outrun.
maybe what the video says, it's about weight per size, the size of the SU-57 is bigger but only has a slight difference in weight with the previous version of the SU-27
Aside from my take on which one wins, I absolutely love the SU 57's looks and aerobatics. If it has American stealth coating and avionics, I would pit that against most anything.
American stealth technology is called "Magnetic Wave Diffraction". Created by Russian scientist Ufimtsev. Recognized as unpromising in the USSR. Very thick coating and works in a narrow range. Do you know why ASML was created in Europe to produce lithographs and modern microchips? It would be more logical to produce in the USA. Lithography using inert gases Soviet development. Measurement systems are different. Copy impossible, you have to do the calculations. It took ASML 11 years to produce a prototype. Start mass production for another seven years. In Russia, lithographs and microchips are produced at 320, 160 and 68 nanometers. The plant is ready and this year they are launching production up to 7 nanometers with an improvement to 1 nanometer using X-ray radiation. The prototype PR 10 is ready. In 2021, according to the statement of the KRET company, a quantum radar based on the control of the chaos of quantum particles was successfully tested and will be integrated into SU 57. 2018 electronic stealth technologies. 2022 created "Product No. 2" Afterburnerless engine. So we're all good. Someone shoots down planes and helicopters in Ukraine with missiles, but no one can detect them. :)
If the F-35 is not "Running Slick" i.e clean wings with no missiles or tanks it has no particular advantage in BVR. USAF all but admits "If an F-35 is dogfighting........ Somebody Fucked Up!" Meaning the F-35 cannot dogfight. The SU-57 has helmet mounted sighting/cueing too as well as high off bore heat seekers it also has A cannon IIRC 1-2 variants of the F-35 do not.

@@AKlover You obviously don’t keep up on the news. There are quite a few articles about how successful the F-35 is at when dogfighting, and quite frankly its maneuvers at airshows are a hell of a lot more impressive than the Su-57s. The F-35 has displayed much better high-g turns and shows it’s incredible power. All the Su shows is that it can go low and slow performing low-g maneuvers. Hell, the Su hasn’t even shown the ability to shoot its guns or air to air missiles in flight from its internal bays. And yes, the F-35 does have HMS, plus its pilots have binocular vision, the ability to see clearly at night, and they can see through the aircraft, which gives them a huge advantage, plus they can que their missiles, and link to other fighter’s missiles to shoot down their adversaries. Only the F-35B doesn’t have a gun, but a gun pod can be mounted if necessary.
@@AKlover the f35 can actually do some pretty surprising things though in airshows usaf is hiding it but fr the f35 will never win in a dogfight with the su57 unless u put a monke in it

Where it suffers though is in energy recovery, or so I've heard With that being said, I like how you immediately assume a dogfight just to discount its BVR capabilities. The Russians claim that the Su-57 is super maneuverable, but so far it has not shown anything impressive that you’d actually see in real combat. The maneuvers that matter most are high-g turns, both sustained and instant, top-end speed, and the ability to recover from high bleed turning, none of which you’ll find in any Su-57 demonstration. Going low and slow performing low-g maneuvers won’t cut it in real combat, and will only make the pilot a sitting duck. I’ve seen both the F-22 and F-35 performing more h-g turns than any Su-57. Russians like to boast about their aircraft having super agility, but if you watch none of them demonstrate sheer power, which is what’s needed for dogfighting.
Heh, ofcourse, they just pick up information from some biased news source filled with clickbait and way-off estimates of the Aircraft's capabilities, basically they hear what they want to hear. Common sence prevails in the silent majourity which hopes that this engagement never takes place at all.

More than that, it depends on the nature of the battlefield. In a beyond visual range engagement (which is what all modern engagements are now) the F-35 is going to win because it has superior avionics, superior tracking, and superior stealth. In a dogfight (which is highly unlikely), the SU-27 is going to win because it can outturn and outmaneuver the F-35.

Otherwise, Su-57 was built to defeat all latest aircraft of its adversaries. Do you really think, Russia simply created Su-57 for nothing? Su-35 latest variant is more deadlier than of F35 which is only better on papers but not on actual combat. To remindyou, F35 and even their other jets are not yet tested at war against powerful opponents unlike Russia.
STEALTH: F-35 Wins. Better all around stealth while the SU-57 is only focused on frontal aspect stealth PERFORMANCE AND MANEUVERABILITY: SU-57 wins. Russian fighters are known for thier maneuvarability, ruggedness and robustness in WVR combat if handled correctly. SU-57 accelerates faster, has 3D thrust vectored engines, better maneuverability and very high AOE that the F-35 can only dream of. This does not mean the F-35 cannot maneuver well but SU-57 claps the F-35 in any maneuvering aspects RADAR AND AVIONICS: Draw. Both 5th gen jets have powerful AESA radars. Range and power of these radars are classified. US jets are known to field reliable radar avionics but the SU-57 also carries advanced AESA radar that goes toe-to-toe with western ones. FIREPOWER: Both jets have internal weapons bay. Both jets can carry additional weapons for non-stealth missions on external pylons I'd opt for SU-57 with its advanced radars and maneuverability if you want to maintain air supremacy into contested airspace. This jet is a potent dedicated air superiority fighter. It is rugged and robust and can maneuver well and dogfight. It was made for that. I'd opt for the F-35 in suppression of air defense or strike missions. It has excellent stealth that gives a high survivability and can also defend itself well agaist air threats. It has a powerful integrated radar and avionic that makes it more versatile in strike missions and better weapons selection vs ground targets. If both aircraft goes toe to toe without support like AWACS it would depend on pilot skills. Both jets are stealth with powerful radars and ECM jammers. Both may or may not detect each other at BVR range, and if both jets detect one another both have also powerful ECM jammers that reduces tracking and lowers the resolution of radar locks. The moment both jets have a good radar detection, tracking, scanning and resolution they are already too close to each other and may have a few moments before merging into WVR. The Su-57 is better at WVR becuase of its maneverability but both jets are armed with high off boresight missiles (AIM-9X and R-74M2) that may end up with mutual kills on both sides. Pilot skills are the factors that will affect the outcome if both jets meet each other
You’re way off. The Su-57 is often criticized for not having enough engine power, a flaw that India mentioned early on. The F-22’s70,000 lbs of thrust is far superior, giving it a huge edge in dogfighting. The F-22’s AESA is a mature 4th gen radar. Russia still to date hasn’t put any fighter into service with AESA, something that the USA did over 20 years ago and has a substantial lead The F-22’s stealth, radars, situational awareness, sensor fusion, and maneuverability are all superior. When it comes to weapons, the F-22’s beats the Su-57’s as well. During the MMRCA tender India’s Air Chief stated that the USA had the best weapons, radars and systems, and the USA wasn’t even offering its best.
@@Thetequilashooter1 That was the HAL FGFA that was based on the Su-57. Im talking about the serial production Su-57. The Su-57 has 3D thust vectoring that goes any angle while the F-22 has only 2D which goes -90 +90 degrees. Thrust difference aint that far off and wont make any difference. Thrust vectoring meanwhile gives a real edge. With 3D thrust vectoring the Su-57 has better manueverability and AOA vs the F-22 Now radars. both the US and soviet union fielded AESA radars on ground systems. Russia has been using AESA radars for its S-300s and S-400s. Its not new tech and both countries already have that technology. It was the Japanese that first fielded AESA radar on fighter (Mitsubishi F-2) and other followed suit. If you really understand radars then you should know that AESA radar does not mean it more power than PESA. Russian N035 Irbis and N011 BARS are one of the most powerfull and capable PESA radars, perhaps even more powerfull than eary AESA radars. Even the russians are following the trend of AESA radars with thier Zhuk-A/AM and N036 Byelka to counter western AESA radars. Now weapons. You mentioned india. That was subjective. Even india's frontline fighters are Su-30MKI which was already refitted with AESA radars. You are talking about weapons, the latest variant of the AMRAAM AIM-120D has a max range of 160+km compare that to the R-37 hypersonic missile of the Su-57 with a max range of 400+km. US missiles looks like a peashooter compared to Russian ones. Well that is to be expected because the Russian are ahead in missile tech
@@kumarraj_2199 3-D thrust does not give a significant advantage over 2-D with significant paddle movements. In fact, 3-D has a drawback because of its significant weight. Plus, thrust vectoring is especially useful at lower speeds, and the F-22’s power advantage gives it the ability to recover from high-g turns much better than the Su. Put it this way, in exercises against Malaysian Su-30s with 3D thrust vectoring, a F-18 came out on top three out of three times. Go to RUclipsr Channel “The Ready Room” to see the video. And that’s against a clean Su without any ordnance. Yes, AESA has been around for awhile, but Russia doesn’t have it in any jet fighter in service. The US has put AESA in its fighters from over two decades ago and has a significant lead. It’s essential to have if a fighter wants to be considered 5th gen, and it’s why all nations are trying to switch to it. It’s main drawback is that it’s costly to develop. If a nation doesn’t have the manufacturing capabilities to build high tech equipment on mass scale efficiently, like Russia, it is going to struggle putting it in service on large scale. And AESA does offer significant advantages, including the ability to jam PESA radar. The MKI has Bars, which is PESA, not AESA.. The Zhuk radar was tried on the Mig-35 in the MMRCA tender , and it failed to reach the desired acquisition ranges. Since then it hasn’t been put on any fighter in service. The R-37 is a long range missile designed for taking out slow aircraft like an AWACS, not a maneuverable jet fighter. Quite honestly, Russia’s missiles are overhyped. When was the last time a Russian missile ever got a BVR kill? Try never. Russian missiles are not more advanced. For India’s Air Chief to state that the USA has the best weapons, radars and systems, when it wasn’t even offering its best says a lot. For India to have to go to Israel for BVR missiles after India’s last little skirmish with Pakistan says a lot.
f35 wasn't made to be the best, it was mae to be just good enough to sell to allies, theres a reason the f-22 was never given to a single allied country. because its the best of the best and they couldnt risk it getting in an enemies hands
F-22 is an air superiority fighter jet, just like Su-57. And AFAIK F-22 have avoided detection flying RIGHT THROUGH RUSSIAN AIRSPACE on multiple occasions. Therefore Su-57 would be down before it even realizes what hit him. F-35 however is not an air superiority fighter. It's a multirole fighter. But seeing as Russians traditionally have trouble building modern radars, I wouldn't expect it to be able to detect an F-35, certainly not over its own territory where it can gain access to ground radar data. Also building a couple prototypes then never proving they can actually do what Russians CLAIM they can is traditional Soviet disinformation tactics.

I personally think the sensor fusion suite and data sharing platforms are the most valuable aspects of a 5th gen fighter. These days multi-band RADAR schemes with data uplinks enable enhanced visibility of stealth aircraft. Where an engagement takes place matters so much more. The Su-57 RADAR visibility is much reduced headon anyway. It's use as a bomber therefore is still viable. Seems standoff attacks are going to be the preferred strategy of use of these aircraft in contested airspace anyway. That's how the Israelies keep using them. Why risk the aircraft close up when the missiles can be launched from safe airspace.
The official patents from the Russian Government for the Su-57 and the documents about the RCS were leaked/translated, the Su-57 has an RCS of 1 meter squared, from the front that's not even talking about the side or back.

Russian design has ALWAYS greatly exaggerate their claims. I would bet that at least a couple of the features which exceed the F-35/F-22 have severe restrictions. Not to say that the US does exaggerate too, however, the US tends to work out issues relatively quickly. Russian aircraft, not so much. What is disturbing is the cost difference. The US is spending more than ever, yet falling behind. Make it make sense!!!
If that is true, then why is the Su-27 the only Russian fighter jet to have a positive kill ratio? This is ignoring that 5 of those eliminations were MiG-29s. F35. even in a dogfight, the F35 does not need to be directly behind the SU-57. The Su 57 may get it in a dogfight if it is behind it to start, but not very likely i would. There arent many Su57's and there are LOTS of F35's. Theory is one thing, but theoretically, Russia could take over the Ukraine in a week. How is that one going though?
100 percent agree. these numbers don't take into account the pilots. if they did, then the various Ukrainian pilots that sparked the "Ghost of Kyiv" legend, wouldn't have been able to shoot down multiple SU-35's in 40 year old MIG 29's
The Russians always overrate their junk. I'm not sure why people still take what the Russians say seriously anymore. It's all junk. We see how they're performing in Ukraine.
I don't know about combat performance but as a program f-35 is better because in same time span it delivered more. It doesn't matter if Su-57 is worth 5 f-35s in combat (it doesn't) if there hundreds f-35s against only 20 Su-57.
As with all things... It DEPENDS. These 1v1 comparisons are never as simple as it may seem. So as of now, I'd honestly go with the aircraft that is actually produced in abundance lol. I mean, let's be honest 😅
You should have compared SU-57 to F-22 not the F-35. The F-35 is a multirole aircraft that mostly would be used for CAS while the F-22 is a air superiority fighter specifically designed to secure air superiority much like the SU-57.
F-35 is better air superiority fighter than both and pilots as well as real life exercises are proving just that. F-35 is coming on top in almost every scenario.
Just curious, what maneuvers has the Su performed that you’ve seen that you think are impressive enough to defeat the F-35? The reason I ask is because from what I have seen is that the F-35 can pull more high turn g’s, both sustained and instant. The maneuvers you see the Su performing at airshows aren’t what you will find in real combat. What matters most are being able to perform high-g turns, and the ability to quickly recover from such turns with powerful engines. Going low and slow performing low-g maneuvers doesn’t work in reality.
@@Thetequilashooter1 F35 can't even defeat an F16, what kind of stealth jet is that who didn't try to take down an F16 while F16 shoot down an F35 with aim 120D missile. That's a shame for F35 seriously investing a lot of money for these jet and has no great air superiority.

We have the F-22 for the SU-57- F-35 is a strike fighter. But the F-35 can engage the Su-57 before the pilot even knows he's been engaged and fired on- defeating the purpose of a dog fight.
The su-57 cannot be called a stealth fighter, it only looks stealthy in design but not in practice, it doesn't even proper engine nozzles design, doesn't have a DSI, and doesn't even incorporate an S duct design for it's engine intake. In conclusion the F-35 with it's superior avionics and practical design that gives it stealth would destroy the SU-57 I'm a BVR fight 10/10 times
f22 is a failure. it was not sold and has already been discontinued. and all units have not been serviced for many years and they literally rotted, so there are so many videos of the f22 crash from scratch on the network, because due to lack of maintenance it turned into scrap metal. I wouldn't be that sure about it. They say 16 and there are 12 different types of them.

More than that, it depends on the nature of the battlefield. In a dogfight (which is highly unlikely), the SU-27 is going to win because it can outturn and outmaneuver the F-35.

comparing the F 35 to the Su 57 is like comparing a sports car with an off-road car and wondering which one is faster
Su-57 is faster than F35. hahaha! Try to be more precise in comparison.
Well if you use that comparison, an Off road car can get you there faster if it can cut across non-asphalt terrain to get to the goal faster. 😂😂
STEALTH: F-35 Wins. Better all around stealth while the SU-57 is only focused on frontal aspect stealth
PERFORMANCE AND MANEUVERABILITY: SU-57 wins. Russian fighters are known for thier maneuvarability, ruggedness and robustness in WVR combat if handled correctly. SU-57 accelerates faster, has 3D thrust vectored engines, better maneuverability and very high AOE that the F-35 can only dream of. This does not mean the F-35 cannot maneuver well but SU-57 claps the F-35 in any maneuvering aspects
RADAR AND AVIONICS: Draw.
Both jets can carry additional weapons for non-stealth missions on external pylons
I'd opt for SU-57 with its advanced radars
and maneuverability if you want to maintain air supremacy into contested airspace.
Pilot skills are the factors that will affect the outcome if both jets meet each other
On point. My country use both russian and american jet and our pilots says that it depends on skill. Sorry for bad english
You are lying you realize that right?
You’re way off. The Su-57 is often criticized for not having enough engine power, a flaw that India mentioned early on. The F-22’s70,000 lbs of thrust is far superior, giving it a huge edge in dogfighting.
The F-22’s AESA is a mature 4th gen radar. Russia still to date hasn’t put any fighter into service with AESA, something that the USA did over 20 years ago and has a substantial lead
The F-22’s stealth, radars, situational awareness, sensor fusion, and maneuverability are all superior.
It is true that the F-22 has more thrust that the Su-57 but thrust does not mean winning a dogfight. The Su-57 has 3D thust vectoring that goes any angle while the F-22 has only 2D which goes -90 +90 degrees. Thrust difference aint that far off and wont make any difference. Thrust vectoring meanwhile gives a real edge. With 3D thrust vectoring the Su-57 has better manueverability and AOA vs the F-22
Now radars. both the US and soviet union fielded AESA radars on ground systems.

@@NYJGreatness Knowing what your F-35 buyers are saying, I can guess why you say that
I personally think the sensor fusion suite and data sharing platforms are the most valuable aspects of a 5th gen fighter.

4) The world's first fighter capable of piloting drones as part of a complex
5) The flight characteristics even exceed those of the Su-35 of the most maneuverable MFI in the world ............ or to put it bluntly .... this aircraft does not and will not have an equal opponent in the near 20 years
The SU-57 is barely a match for the F-22, and there are 187 F-22s and 730 F-35s vs only 12 SU-57s so far..
@@fredrickgraves2869 According to the Pentagon, there are currently only 30 F22 airworthy, currently the production of SU57 is delayed due to the armament of the aircraft, to date only air-to-air missiles P37M with a range of 350 km are ready, far exceeding the old AIM 120D of F22 with effective range from 120 km, within a year the hypersonic Gremlin for SU57 will be ready and mass production will begin
Lmao you must be smoking something dude. Whatever it is I want it so that I can be as detached from reality as you are XD
@@BravoCheesecake change the dealer - this drug does not work well for you - it is too hallucinogenic !! you are far from reality
Very delusional.
I think su 57 is better than f 35.
You have a right to be wrong
Right you are.
The su57 has 12 prototypes and the f35 has 690 operational aircraft that 58 f35 per su57
ye but this is a 1 on 1 situation, doesn't mean that america is better.
No one asked you about numbers? When comparing the ratio needs to be 1:1. For your info F35 is a plane with lots of trouble. Program is cancelled and replaced by F/A-XX
yup Russia can't even build these machines lol
@@mlrd6622the only scenario su57 wins if it somehow get close enough without being spotted from over the horizon
And the chache of that is 0
@@OMR6468 They build better lol 😂
The F-35 would win it could easily detect Su-57 not to mention the fact that it’s the most survivable fighter Su-57 would loose
@@джентельменудачи-п2бbros just making stuff up
You can't determine which one would win until they actually engage in fight
Or until the Russians are able to manufacture theirs
Su 57
Su57 wins easily
Avionics and technology goes to F35 (maybe not cuz its doesnt have DIRCM countermeasures and AI support like the Russians)
but when its comes to Physical advantages and firepower ya Know *FELON*
Basically Su 57 is almost like balanced combination of F 22 and F 35. And made to counter All 5th Gen fighters 😑
who said that F-35 doesn't have an integrated AI and who said that SU-57 has. Heck who said that Russia as a whole has the capabilities to make an AI especially as effective as it should be on a jet fighter as a whole? I guess that who is nobody. And also who told you that F-35 loses in terms of firepower. Both are about the same in BVR but oh boy F-35 is beast mode. It turns almost in an F-15. It can carry 14 AIM-120 missiles and 2 Sidewinders AIM-9X. So more firepower than that? I seriously doubt that.
@@ulikemyname6744 The Su-57 just has a bigger cargo capacity and more (six to be exact) hard points on its wings when it doesn’t need stealth capability. It’s that simple without going into weapons used. For air-to-air, it has 4 R-77M BVRAAM missiles, 2 R-74M2 missiles for short range and an optional 4 R-37M for long range in place of R-77M. Also that was just in stealth mode. F-35 in stealth mode can only carry 4 AIM-120. The Su-57 has more hardpoints on its wings and a higher weapon load capacity, as mentioned above.
@@fork9001 Actually F-35 has higher weapon capacity and it has beats mode which allows the jet to carry 16 A to A missiles. The AIM-120 is also more capable than anything Russia has
@@ulikemyname6744 It’s basically a R-77M vs AIM-120, and the Su-57 can carry 10 R-77M externally and internally. But, with the amount of information we have on both missiles, you would be right. Unless that ramjet version comes around or the AESA seekers get implemented.
@@fork9001 As we see in Ukraine Russia has problems in tracking their targets. The fail rate of the Kalibr missile is very high. So their tracking capabilities are behind the US.
Su57 looks like F22. I think Americans already know its design. I think F35 is designed to win. I vote for F35
Can I use a mail-in ballot for my vote on this? I live in Chicago and it's kind of dangerous for me to leave my building.😅🤣😂🤣😅🤣😂🤣😅🤣😂
It actually looks like there are russian bots on this comment section. Not like bots in a sense of a person who buys propoganda, but like actually propoganda network activity.
Su 57 its genial ❤
the su-57 will win because the super expensive f-35 does not work.
Sure😂😂😂
@@stefanrz_ 5 Felons vs one expensive ass raptor. raptor costs 206 milion meanwhile the Su-57 only 42 milion
F-35 would win, Su-57 does not quite exist except three prototypes :)
perhaps you haven’t knowledge about a fighters jet😅😅😅
Russia has about 6 SU-57s. And dogfighting is no longer an issue unless something has gone wrong. So speed and maneuverability is not an issue. It's about the tech more than how fast they go or how quickly they turn.
14 of them not 6
did you even watch the video?
Well Russia still has its ICBMs
When you look at both planes you wonder about the character of both teams of designers and their briefs. Su57 ...create something sexy and bad ass at the same time. F35 design a stealth plane
