    This is awesome!
    One of the highlights of my life was meeting Thomas and talking to him while he packed up Steve's pedal board, etc. on the first leg of this tour. Guitar tech legend!

      Hey Bhakti! Fancy seeing you here! Jason is a good buddy of mine. He sent me a beautiful Ibanez J-Custom RG8527Z last year.

      BHAKTI BROPHY I wish. Jason McNamara - he's the guy putting the GoPro onto Steve's guitar(s) and the person responsible for making these videos. Great chap and a wonderful person to purchase quality guitars from.

      ah! I don't know that Jason.
      I played guitar for 29 years and then my spinal diseases got the best of me and my neck broke. So I'm disabled.
      Steve dedicated his EXPERIENCE HENDRIX Show to me and my guitar playing (and drums, keys, etc. )
      I don't buy guitars anymore, but my dream of meeting Thomas since he was with Zappa came true last time Steve came to my town. They're the best. So supportive and kind, both Jason Becker and Steve.
      (Steve calls me Donna, BTW my birth name. )
      I'm not bragging either.
      Steve is the most humble, down to Earth, kind family man I've ever met.
      and Jason is a silly silly prodigy musician of the highest order.
      He sent me give of his new songs when I was in the hospital. Oh my God, Joshua... they're all symphonic masterpieces.
      Here's my email:
      Bhakti.Brophy@gmail.com
      Shoot me off an email.
      I'd like to introduce you to Jason.

      Ishibashi Music English RUclips Channel Do you know where i could find this guitar mount? Didn't found it on go pro's website...

    • @JasonMcNamara
      @JasonMcNamara  9 лет назад

      I made this mount myself out of a bunch of GoPro parts. To make the same (or similar) you would need to purchase a few of the following sets...
      shop.gopro.com/mounts/replacement-parts/AGBAG-001.html#/start=1

    • @JasonMcNamara
      @JasonMcNamara  9 лет назад

      Oh, and you'll also need a set of these...
      shop.gopro.com/mounts/removable-instrument-mounts/AMRAD-001.html#/start=1
      And on top of all that, you'll need to do what I've done and spend hours & hours of your time experimenting with what works for you. No one ever taught me how to do this, I just put in the time. I hope this helps.
      Cheers!

      its called ''true temperament'' frets, it means the guitar is perfectly intonated no matter where you're playing. Before you wonder, no it does not affect bends.

      Thanks Peter. Now THAT means a hell of a lot to me. I'm really happy to hear that people are enjoying my work, especially when it's from outside of this channel. You may be interested to know that I did a shoot for Li-sa-X yesterday. There will be a video out from Sony Music Japan very soon for a song called Serendipity from last night's show.

      Dude, the pleasure is mine!!! One of these days, the Aristocrats must get to doing another DVD and now hopefully produced by you in its entirety. I loved every second of it. Inspiring even to a passive guitar player like myself. It was like experiencing the music through an amplified kaleidoscope!

      I agree, Kris. Still gives me goosebumps. You see, for those of us who come from less fortunate countries, who've until recently been students and who have families, travelling to gigs is an extremely rare treat. So far, I was unable to make it to any of GG's gigs in my vicinity. (In one instance, I even had to skip a concert where I had already paid for a ticket.) So having footage like this bring me to the show in a very special way. Keep up the good work, mate!

    I have always been a huge Steve Vai fan! Who makes that neck though? I have known about his microtonal frets but could never find who makes the ! Cant read it on the video! Also a huge Vernon fan! Have any footage of him Playing???

    • @JasonMcNamara
      @JasonMcNamara  6 лет назад

      Ibanez made the neck, however the fret work was done by someone in Sweden I believe. Thomas did tell me the guy's name, but I've totally forgotten. If it helps, this style of frets are called: True Temperament. Or at least I think that's what it's called. Good luck in your search. And as for Vernon, here you go: ruclips.net/video/2u8fEVT8mU8/видео.html

  • @drumavidcheckupz4792
    @drumavidcheckupz4792 8 лет назад +1

    Did he changed the famous neck that matches the body pitch or did he change the fretboard. I see the frets are true temperament which are a newer than Evo. Man you get to have so much fun!!!
    Edit: Question answered at the end of the video.
    Next question, doesn't that screw up the guitar? That was what was supposed to make Evo unique.

    • @JasonMcNamara
      @JasonMcNamara  8 лет назад

      +Drumavid Checkupz (despingator): Believe me, it takes a LOT of effort to do these things. Yes it's fun, but it's a LOT of hard work.
      As for answers on the Guitar, you'd need to ask Steve or Thomas about that. I honestly have no idea.

      Hey, look at it these way. There are TONS of people working hard that don't get to do what they love. You look like you are and like every human wishes for that gives some meaning to what you do, right?
      Regarding the question about the neck I wish I could do that but I have no Idea how to do it and buying a ticket to a show doesn't provide that.

    • @JasonMcNamara
      @JasonMcNamara  8 лет назад

      +Drumavid Checkupz (despingator) : It doesn't. You are correct, but Steve often has some type of a VIP pass for sale at his shows if I'm not mistaken. I hope you can meet him some day to ask.

      +Drumavid Checkupz (despingator) It wouldn't have been possible WITHOUT Vernon's help. I'm not sure where I may have made that mistake, but if you know please tell me so I can correct that. Thank you.

      +Drumavid Checkupz (despingator) : HAHAHAHA!!!! That was a VERY silly mistake. Oh well. I'm not going to change that now. It's too late for that. Thankfully Vernon is a very dear friend of mine and I know he would simply laugh and say something like, "Of course he fucked up his thank you credit to me". Will I guess lucky you found the unintentional Easter Egg (pardon the pun this weekend).
