Biggest we have in the roads here is a 62M Concord. The biggest Putzmeister is the 58M (63M is unfortunately not legal for our roads).

I wish we had that option here. For these big pumps we basically only have 1 or 2 different chassis to choose from.

@@canadianconcretepumper1979 All Putzmeister 58s here have five or six axles, I don't know of any with seven axles.
Liebherr says that theoretically other chassis (European) could also be used for North America, but that is up to the customer of the pump to decide. I rather think that the European trucks do not fulfill any requirements (axle loads?) of the authorities in America/Canada or that it is too complex/expensive for a few trucks to meet them. Here in Germany, concrete pumps are not trucks in the conventional sense, they are registered here as self-propelled work machines. They are tax-exempt here, they can also drive at any time on Sundays because they transport nothing except the pump, which is firmly attached to the chassis. Theoretically, a concrete pump driver is allowed to drive 24/7 around the clock because it is not a truck. There can only be problems for labor law reasons, but these only apply to employees, self-employed bosses can do what they want. 😂
But it's funny that Canada has just ordered over 1500 Mercedes special trucks for the military, so Mercedes is allowed in North America.

@@martinmay91 Out regulations here in North America are all over the place. You can have a very specific chassis built to comply in one region, and then drive just a few hours in any direction to find that it’s almost the total opposite of what is required in the next region.

@@Dex01-Z_WingZero So we had looked into that. New 7-axle chassis is $300K+, painting, mounting and “refreshing of the pump unit” could easily add up to another $200K+. Then factoring down time, as well as fact that it’s still structurally a 16 year old pump unit with zero warranty, it just didn’t make sense for us. If we weren’t so busy and had time to do most of the labour work in-house it could be a different story, but with the way the market right now, resources are better allocated to our primary business of pump’N that mud!!!
Definitely a thought we tossed around though.
