Jackson Kruger is gonna go through every starter in the league before he's done

I think one of the biggest projected weaknesses of AR going into the league was that he didn't have much pocket presence and would be too reliant on his athletic traits to develop into a good passer. However, in the limited amount of snaps he had, he dispelled those fears from me.
In just that Rams game alone, he portrayed a great understanding of the pocket around him and seemed more willing to throw first in the pocket instead of scrambling all the time. I don't think anyone would have predicted him throwing a dime as he was getting wrapped by Aaron Donald before the season had started.
Although he isn't 100% proven, I still have higher hopes of him developing than I had at the start of last year.

AR has a great Headcoach that will help him get better

His pocket presence coming out of college was actually really good. The big drop on him coming out was his lack of playing and his accuracy. If you watch his college film you can see the pocket presence is on the higher end for a college QB.

My only concern is his accuracy and throwing the ball with touch that is easy for wr to catch the ball. The ball placement is a concern.

2:30 I feel like he *scrambled to draw some defenders off of the receiver (because they have to be wary of his running ability) which allowed the receiver to get more open and just pick up a first. Whether he intended that or not, I think it was the best thing to do on that particular play.

IDK, I feel that him stepping up like that made the DB come down into the play instead of getting the DB to come down to the QB.

See the way he threw the ball and the direction he ran, it’s obvious he knew he had time and space, only concern now is the defense player I think Aaron swatting the ball. IMO

I don't understand your criticism of the first clip. The rollout provides a better angle for the pass. The ball travels less on a straighter line than if he had thrown it from the pocket. Easier throw; easier catch. But you're all like, he doesn't need to do that. But why not? He's a mobile quarterback. Why do you want him to play like a statue?
The throws that he missed, like the out you showed, were mostly missed to the safe side. That's just Richardson not wanting to turn the ball over and not being completely accustomed to the speed of the pro game.
What you completely fail to mention, however, is that Richardson just didn't make any big mistakes as a rookie throwing the ball. Did he leave some completions on the field? Sure. But he made sure that only his receiver could make a play.
    One interception in 187 snaps.
As far as injuries go: It's a dangerous game. He had some back luck and, yes, did get injured once unnecessarily when he slowed down running over the goal line against the Texans.

Not a finished product in my opinion. Small sample to go by. As someone who is studying PyTorch for AI which includes transfer learning and experiment tracking I would say very difficult to train a model that would accurately predict his being ready. I think he will be learning and building this year. Halt way through the season run a larger sample through the model and see what the number reveal. I believe in him for what that is worth. Go Colts!

How can you even argue with his point though? He IS unproven, yet has a lot of potential, but is extremely injury prone as well. That’s literally all the kid has shown so far. I say that’s 100% accurate
