Well, once a group of young Bloodborne scholars discovered the holy code deep within the console. This led to the making of this video, and the establishment of PC Bloodborne gameplay. In this sense, everything sacred in PC gaming can be traced back to Bloodborne.
Switch emulation is fine, we have Ryujinx or Suyu for example. The reason why Yuzu got taken down is because the devs got greedy and monetized ToTK before official release.
When Sony first started porting titles I thought... "Surely we will get bloodborne now! After all, they would lose so much money if they wait much longer, what with emulators starting to make some serious progress back with KyTy." Here we are...

Goddamn, BBs OST makes my hair stand on end. What a masterpiece of a game. I remember getting the PS4 to play this, sitting on the Main Menu screen while I settled down, and MAN that music. Didn't know what I was in for. One of the best games I've ever played, for sure.

That’s inevitable. What’ll be cool is when it’s better. Thanks to emulation you’ll get over 60 fps and 4k resolution. People are already importing upscaled textures, and the 60 fps patch is already implemented, so we’re on our way. That’s the beauty of emulation and pc gaming in general - no need for remasters to play at higher fidelity.
It may not be pretty, and there’s still plenty of work to do to get it to a state that can be released for public access, but it’s crazy to see just how functional the game has become.
Dude this is awesome. I think shadows and lighting play a big role into making the game look like the original version. I wouldn't bother too much with the 720p or 30fps, these can be fixed in the future. The important thing is the game to be stable and playable.

Upon finally getting a PS4 I had already lost some steam so I didn't get it for myself, but I watched someone play it for the first time in prep for ER and that ignited my love for the visuals and lore again. I recently bought the game but have yet to touch it. I may be sinner, but before ever touching an emulation (or a remaster/remake) I will probably just play that version finally.
@@justaguy1071 It's definitely playable. The biggest issue with the PS4 is that it just can't handle particle effects and view distance, so the game is realistically something like 18-25 fps most of the game.
Between Sony losing millions with Concord and this emulator making this kind of progress we should be getting an official Bloodobrne PC announcement very soon. I'm going to guess on Halloween they will put out a trailer with a late December release date for PS5 and PC coming early 2025.
The best part is as people put together the efforts to help this game become playable other games in the ps4 library on the sides will benefict from the updates Can't praise enogh this amazing proyect you guys are doing
It shouldn't be understated that the emulator has gotten really far really quickly but it is not remotely playable on every piece of hardware. I believe I've seen a lot if issues with intel CPU's and I know in my own case. I run a rig with a i9 9900k and a 4070ti with 32g of ddr4 ram and the initial minute of gameplay is fine before degrading rapidly to an unplayable state with several shader and color issues. I expect to see a lot of progress by the Christmas season which in it of itself is ungodly. Keep up the good work on your own efforts and lots of praise to all the devs working on the emulator itself. This feat alone has very likely propelled Shadps4 into the dominant ps4 emulator.

He's not making it himself, I believe. He's just demoing it running on his computer after hacking up the game files to make things that don't work well play okay on the current state of the emulator.

I mean, I don't think fixing memory leakage is gonna be easy since it requires a lot of tinkering to the source code of the emulator itself, what are your thoughts?
DS3 has a memory leak problem, even on current patch. It was fixed in (what I am told is) a day by a modder from speed souls. Shouldn't be too hard to address.
I just saw your switch DSR video and you said you had a 3600x and 2060, do you still have the same system? Just curious about the performance as I dont have my ps4 anymore to dump the game and have a similar system.
I just downloaded Shadps4 (for funsies) and am copying my Bloodborne disc. Gonna try it this weekend. I’ve played the game many many times before, and have the platinum. So excited for pc though. Once those high res are ready… man this game gonna sing. Helluvah challenge run that would be with no floor. I was imagining the swamp area with all those narrow hill paths would be nuts. 😂
I wanna thank everyone involved in the development of shadps4, the BB hacks, modders and patchers, I also wanna thank myself for being patient enough to not waste money on a ps4 and just wait. I knew these days would come but dude, new year's me would have laughed if someone told me I wolud be able to see the bloodborne menu screen on my pc 8 months later.

FS uses the same pop in distance and flat shadow textures between both games, DS3 especially has tons of flaws and cracks if you look close enough.

There’s still some charm to the 30fps of bloodborne it makes the combat more satisfying
