Sweden and Denmark are often said to be the two countries who had the most wars inbetween them in the world. But we love each other nowadays (but cannot understand what the other nation says) Cinnamon buns at cafes/restaurants are typically too big (same as with meatballs) you don't really get the proper proportions of ingredients, crust, etc.
The French and the British had the hundred year war. (!) Just saying. Amongst others. The French supporting the revolutionaries in the US versus the Brits, also supporting the Yanks in the civil war while the Brits supported the South (which was kind of an "oof" moment, these days), because the Brits were still salty about losing the revolutionary war. :P Oh, and Normands invading Britain during the middle ages - twice actually, as I recall... lol Also, the expression "pardon the French", used to liken French language with swearing, etc. So fair amount of animosity there, historically... :) Of course, nobody cares much about any of that anymore. Or at least as long as we have food on our table, roofs over our heads and smartphones to scroll on. Take all that away though, and we'll likely show our true colors yet again. ;)

@@aliceberethart Then why drink it?
If you order coffee it comes in a cup, but that was caffe-latte... more milk than coffee, served like in Italy.
You know where to pass the road at rhe crossover. One "lane" has not cobblestones with high edges and one lane has just flat road for the bikes.
Great movie. Awesome, Looks fantastic there !
Great video ...❤
Welcome to Gothenburg ❤
I hope the overall volume on everything and everyone around you where satisfying?
you could say it´s part of our culture not to be so loud and expressive, especially on trains/busses and out on cafes, ofc there are exceptions.
ive heard that is one of the really big diffrences between the US and Sweden (might be wrong tho).
Yeah the cinnamon buns at that place are known for being pretty dry... they are big, yes, but the size comes at a cost
I think a cinnamon bun is a bit like pizza- even when it’s bad, it’s still pretty good. So, maybe I am not a cinnamon bun connoiseur just yet, but the one we tried in the video was still pretty good 👍😅
Göteborg looks nice town. Maybe i will some funny day visit there.
Do you ever think of giving up those winter coats... hahah
So funny the timing of this comment- we just donated the winter coats today haha
Yes,you came to My city gothenburg ,her was i born and raise😊
Love you guys!! ❤🎉
Sweden and Denmark are often said to be the two countries who had the most wars inbetween them in the world. But we love each other nowadays (but cannot understand what the other nation says)
Cinnamon buns at cafes/restaurants are typically too big (same as with meatballs) you don't really get the proper proportions of ingredients, crust, etc.
:P Oh, and Normands invading Britain during the middle ages - twice actually, as I recall... lol
Also, the expression "pardon the French", used to liken French language with swearing, etc. So fair amount of animosity there, historically... :)
Of course, nobody cares much about any of that anymore. Or at least as long as we have food on our table, roofs over our heads and smartphones to scroll on. Take all that away though, and we'll likely show our true colors yet again. ;)
Latte is not coffee, its milk. Order a coffee and you get a coffee mug ;)
Nice video, If you are still in Sweden on May 1st, visit Malmö and try to get tickets for the Swedish Cup Final Malmö-Djurgården 💛❤💙
💯 on point about the coffee cup. Just not the same in a glass. Tends to be how specifically lattes are served in some places. I've also seen americanos served this way.
So, grab a kanelbulle (cinnamon bun) and a friend, and let the adventures in Gothenburg begin-where charm meets cheekiness around every corner!
can you share where to book this accomodation please?
I love Ivana`s hat 😊
What´s the name of your accommodation? Looks really nice for next time i´m visiting Gothenburg
The pink trees I think those come from Japan because the Swedes like to import stuff
Are you going to aik-djurgården?
Yes! We will be there. Where/when is the fan march, we want to participate!
One thing you don’t do in Göteborg is walking in the bike lane. “CYKELBANA!” 🚲💀😂 That’s how people know you’re not from there.
LOL We didn’t get yelled at, but once we got a pretty dirty look when we accidentally veered onto the highway. Our mistake lol
Back I Finland now, much better❤️
Gothenburg is a MESS when it comes to roads and markings.
In my opinion Copenhagen is the best Nordic city I think you'll like it. Also that moccamaster is a staple in every Finnish household or at least used to be and I suppose same in Sweden
My old hometown, moved 2003
YOU HAVE TO EXPLORE MALMÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖ
I’d love to know, wich have the best- cinammon buns? Your opinion.
Yo i’ve been to haga multiple times, thats awesome
The MTRX train is actually owned by VR nowadays (The Finnish government owned train company)
you missed the fish and all sorts off handcrafted stuff in gbg what they are known for
Sweden is really nice country! loved it 20 years ago.. Ivana is really a HIFK fan? Ivana our team sucks! and the coach can still be there!! after all this!!! (going to burn HIFK jersey).. Anyway thank you guys for the great video again!
Why skip Malmö?
Is coffee at the cafe good?
